Percy POV

Percy was extremely nervous, no, he was dying. It was his first time asking someone out, well not exactly. Since, this 'person' was Annabeth one wrong move and he would be on the floor due to a judo-flip. Oh gods!
He was standing outside her dorm room with his fist in the air ready to knock on the door, but he was too nervous to move his hand. After several minutes of contemplation he decided to knock. As soon as his fist touched the door it flung open causing him to fall on top of a startled Annabeth. With one swift motion she was on top of him with a raised fist. Ready to attacking the intruder.

"Please don't hurt me," Percy squeaked, covering his face with his hands.

Annabeth got up and offered him a hand. He took her hand and she helped him stand upright. For a brief moment their eyes met and Percy was staring sheepishly into her stormy grey eyes before she judo-flipped him.

"And that was for scaring me," she announced, smirking.

"Ouchie," He whined, getting up on his own not trusting Annabeth, again.

Annabeth stopped her laughing fit when she saw his suit.

"Wait, do you have a photoshoot today?!" She exclaimed. "Oh no, oh no, OH NO! What do you need? What should I get you?"

"Right now, an ice pack would be nice," he groaned, rubbing his back.

"Shut up," She said, jokingly.

"Anyway, I need to ask you something," he said, nervously. Why did Annabeth make him so nervous? "S-so uh I-I y-you out d-"

"Yes," She said, smiling.

He pumped his fist in the air and immediately pulled it back.

"I-I uh mean, yeah," he fumbled,

"So, um, where are we going?" She asked. "Cause I'm not really a fan of blue cheese,"

"Hehehe, no blue cheese, got it," he said, blushing in embarrassment.

"Is Jason coming over today?" She asked.

"No, he is going out with Piper," he said.

"Oh, alright," she said, casually.

"Cool, um so date?" He asked, not even close to casual.

"Yeah, aren't you supposed to take me somewhere?" She asked. "Is that how it works?"

"I-I guess," he stuttered.

"I have never dated anyone before," she said, smiling.

"No worries. Neither have I," he replied, though to be honest he was lying. But the last time he dated was a long time ago so...

"Okay good," She said, sighing. "at least both of us suck at dating and not only me,"

"I don't suck at dating!" He complained.

"Really, Perce," She asked, raising a brow.

"Fine, I'm not that great," he admitted.

***

"Why won't you tell where we're gonna go?!" She whined.

"You sound just like me," Percy beamed, leaning back in the car seat.

"Oh gods, I do don't I?" She said, worried. "I don't wanna be a seaweed brain!"

"Hey!" Percy said, pouting.

"You know what I-" she started, but got interrupted by the refreshing sea breeze coming in from Percy's open window. "The beach?"
