**few days later**
"Lets go, Dez! You are going to make me late to my own rehearsal dinner!" yelled Jessa from the living room. I could tell she was already annoyed with me. She had stayed behind to help with my hair and makeup. The guys had decided that they were going to go ahead and just meet us there.
I was nervous because I knew the one person I hadnt thought about in years was going to be there. I looked at myself one last time in the mirror. She had done an amazing job.
"Okay, seriously. You look fine. What is taking so long?!" I heard from behind me.
"Sorry, just making sure I have everything."
"What else could you need? You have your phone, purse, and yourself! "
"Okay, okay. Let's go!"
"Are you worried about seeing you know who?" Jessa says as soon as we get in the car and i start driving.
"What? No! I hadnt even remembered he'd be there!" Did she really need to talk about it? I was trying to not think about that person and about seeing him with someone else.
"You're so full of shit!" She laughed. " I can see right through you. Hello! We are best friends"
She was right. I've never been able to hide anything from Jessa.
"Yes, a little nervous and scared."
"Why? You have an amazing boyfriend, amazing career and you look hot! He's the one who should be nervous!"
"Yeah right! I am nothing special!" I laugh then look at her seriously, "Have you seen him lately?"
"Here and there. He comes over sometimes. He and Jack did some writing together."
"Oh?" I say surprised. That wasnt the answer I was expecting.
"Dez, you will be fine. Stop worrying! Now shut up, my song is on." She laughs as she turns up the music.
After a while, we pull up to the building. Jessa looks at the clock on her phone.
"Ugh! late in true Dez fashion.""Hey, you are the one that wanted me to be all dolled up!"
"If I didnt help, you would have ended up wearing jeans, a t-shirt and converse with your hair in that damn ponytail."
"I would have put a bow, at least. It is a fancy event" I dodged her as she playfully swung at me.
" YOURE SUCH A LOSER I SWEAR!!" She laughs as we walk through the doors.
"There's my lovely bride! " Jack says as he scoops Jessa up in a hug. "What took so long?"
"Do you see what I had to work with?" she gestures towards me.
"Hey, asshole!" I exclaim in mock hurt.
"Well, I think you're gorgeous. I don't care what she says." Chris says as he puts his arms around me and places a soft kiss on my cheek. I stick my tongue at Jessa.
"Its okay. We're still waiting for Kellin. You know him, always late." says Jack. Yep, him and I were always late. I smile thinking back.
"Did someone say my name?" says a very familiar voice that causes something in my stomach to flutter.
"Kells! Its about time!" Jack yells.
"You will be fine. Just breathe. Try to relax! I'll be right here." Chris whispers in my ear, feeling my body tense at the sound of Kellin's voice.
I turn to see Kellin standing there in a purple suit, black button up with skinny jeans in the typical Kellin way. His hair fell slightly below his chin with a slight curl and a bit disheveled but he made messy hair look good like only he could. Standing beside him was a small framed, dark haired woman dressed in a classy black dress with purple trim that matched the color of kellin suit. As Jack and Jessa greeted him. He smiled that unforgettable smile that made my heart skip a beat. Get a hold of yourself, Dez. Don't fall in love again.
