"Kathryn..." Amy whispered, transfixed at the computer screen. "You've outdone yourself!"

Kathryn stood next to the desk, wringing her hands anxiously. "Y-you think so?"

Amy beamed at her. "I can't find a single thing wrong with it. You've combined and edited all the clips perfectly, the backing and the sound effects are in perfect sync! They're going to love you at med con."

Her best friend stared at her with tear bright eyes. "You really mean that?"

Amy stood up and enveloped her into a tight hug. "Every word. You're gonna knock 'em dead tomorrow!"

"I wish you could come," Kathryn said sadly as she shut the trunk of her car. "You're boss is an asshole."

"I know. It sucks hard."Amy nodded. "When you get back though, I want to see photos and have you tell me everything in excruciating detail."

Kathryn laughed as she walked around to the driver's side. "You know you will. You should expect plenty of souvenirs, too."

"Text me when you get there so I know you got there safely." Amy said, giving her friend one last hug before she opened the car door.

"I will. See you on Friday."

Amy waved her goodbye as she watched Kathryn drive off until her car disappeared from view. Letting out a dejected sigh, she walked back into the house.

"Turn left in ... miles."

"What the hell are you talking about you stupid piece of crap?!"

"Make a legal U-turn in 45 yards."

"How are you not working? You were doing fine a mile ago..."

"You have reached your destination."

"Argh!"

Kathryn looked around the outside of the car. Her Sat-Nav had taken her through a large wooded area with a road that looked somewhat abandoned.

"Where the hell am I?" She whispered as she kept on driving slowly, hoping to come across a sign or another road.

"Great," she sighed after 20 minutes. "Just great. I'm lost. I'm freaking lost! I might as well turn around before it gets too dark and...oh..."

Her eyes widened when a spectacular manor house appeared as she drove into a clearing from the leafy branches of the trees.

I didn't know this place was here...She thought. I hope someone is home. At least I could get directions from Google maps...

Parking her car in the large drive way, Kathryn made her way towards the front porch of the main door.

After knocking 3 times, a young man with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes, possibly in his late twenties, answered almost immediately, greeting her with a broad grin.

"Hello," He said with a distinct Irish accent. "Can I help you?"

Kathryn smiled back. "I hope so. I'm on my way to a convention and I'm lost. My stupid Sat-Nav brought me here."

The Irishman nodded his understanding. "I see. Come on in and I'll see if I can find you a map or something."

He stepped aside so she could pass through into a grand foyer. "Can I offer you a cup of coffee or anything while I look?"

"That would be nice," She nodded. "thank you."

With a nod of acknowledgment, he turned his attention towards a hallway to their right before shouting, "Miriam, can you come here please? We have a visitor!"

He looked back at Kathryn. "So where is it you're heading to?"

"I'm on my way to a convention in-"

"What on Earth?!"

Another young man with dark hair and green eyes appeared in the middle of an adjacent hallway, his face panic stricken.

"Jack, what's the meaning of this?!" He spoke with a Southern-English accent.

"P.J. calm down, she just came to ask for help." Jack, the Irishman said calmly.

"It doesn't matter!" Hissed P.J. who looked terrified. "If the Master finds out, he'll blow a gasket!"

"Oh Pasquale Jordan, don't be so bloody paranoid!"

Everyone turned to a young woman with long chestnut brown hair tied back into a low ponytail, and large brown eyes, wearing a maid's uniform. She too spoke with an English accent that was unfamiliar to Kathryn.

The maid glowered at P.J. as she crossed the foyer. "He's always throwing one of his temper tantrums, you ought to know that by now."

P.J shook his head anxiously. "Fine. Don't listen to me then. But I'm not taking any part in this! You'll find me on the other end of the manor."

She tutted and rolled her eyes as he hurried past her. "Honestly..." She sighed. "Anyway, what did you need me for, Jack?"

"Could you take this lady to the lounge, Miriam, and get her a cup of coffee while I find a map for her?"

Miriam, the maid, nodded as she looked at Kathryn with a warm smile. "Of course, come with me, Miss."

Kathryn followed her down a short hallway which lead to an open lounge which was decorated with all sorts of ornaments that looked expensive. A roaring fire illuminated the room with a cozy orange glow.

Miriam sat her down on a comfortable ornate sofa before disappearing and reappearing with a coffee cup.

"Here you go," She smiled, handing it to her. "Jack shouldn't be too long, but give me a shout if you need anything. "

"I will," Kathryn nodded. "and thank you."

Two minutes had passed as Kathryn slowly sipped her coffee while admiring the hearty fire. She decided, once she had what she needed, to make sure these kind people got a proper thank you after her return from the convention.

A pair of footsteps echoed in the hallway. Thinking it was Jack or Miriam, she thought nothing of it as she finished her coffee.

"WHO ARE YOU?!!" Boomed a deep, echoing voice. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"

Kathryn jumped and spun around on the sofa before letting an audible gasp escape her.

A man scowled at her with soulless eyes and fierce assertion.

She leaped to her feet, anxiously trying to form a coherent sentence with a lump forming in her throat. "I-I-I-I...I was lost..."

"NOBODY IS WELCOME HERE!" He roared.

A red and a blue aura suddenly appeared around the man as he slowly advanced towards her which Kathryn couldn't help but stare at while her whole body became paralyzed with fear.

"WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT?!"

"N-n-nothing!" Kathryn stuttered. "P-p-please, I meant no harm!"

His eyes suddenly glowed a neon pink.

"Oh I see..." A menacing sneer pulled at his lips. "YOU'VE COME TO STARE AT THE DEMON!"

Not giving her any time to respond, the man grabbed her by the front of her shirt and yanked her with him out the room, making the coffee cup slip from her hands and sending it crashing to the floor.

"I HAVE A PLACE SPECIFICALLY FOR TRESPASSERS!"
