The morning brought with it the smell of dew, and a cool breeze that made me shiver awake. I streched in my nest and took in the strong smell of herbs and berries. I slowly stood up and quitely padded toward the entrance of the medicine den, trying not to wake One-eye who had gotten bad thorn scratches from her nest the night before. I slowly pad toward the entrance of the camp, looking back to see if I had woken anybody on the way out. When I hear that the camp is silent, I trotted through the camp entrance.

The strong smell of greenleaf fills my nose as I make my way through the forest toward the river, it's a beautiful morning for taking a stroll through the forest, but my fur begins to ruffle as I pass the border of Shadowclan. Something about the way those cats live just wasn't right, training kits to fight at a young age. Sniffing the air for a sign of anything lurking around, I caught the faint smell of Shadowclan. It was coming from our side of the border, and by the smell of it this was many hours ago, as it was a faint smell. Checking the air once more I quickly turned around and made my way back to the camp, I had to warn firestar of this news immediately.

Fellow clan members had just begun to stir in their dens when I quickly made my way through the camp entrance.

" Goodmorning Silvermoon, you appear to be in quite the hurry this morning, " Poppyfrost said, I did not answer her for I wanted to tell Firestar immedieately what I had found. I reached the leaders den right as Firestar had made his way out of the den.

" Firestar, I must speak with you

right away," I said dipping my head in greeting.

" What's wrong Silvermoon, " he asked with a concerned look on his face, and pointing inside his den. I followed him inside and sat down with my tail curled over my paws.

" Firestar, when I was making my way toward the river, as I passed the shadowclan camp I caught the faint scent of a shadowclan cat that was on our territory sometime last night," I explained, and watched as Firestar's expression turned to anger.

" Where did you say you found the scent, " Firestar asked, slowly standing on all fours.

" The clearing near the river, Firestar what are you going to do?" I asked slowly rising to my feet

" I'm going to send a search patrol out to the clearing to see if they find anything, If they find nothing then we will just have to keep a close eye on things in our territory, Thank you so much for warning me," He said nodding his head and leading me out of his den. I watched firestar pad away across the clearing toward a group of warriors before I made my way back to the Medicine den, where One-eye was lying awake waiting for me to check the scratches on her under-belly.

" Goodmorning One-eye, how are you doing this morning," I asked the old she, going about my normal routine of checking her belly for any signs of swelling.

" Well considering Starclan has decided they do not need me yet, I'm doing quite fine," The one eyed she joked.

" Yes, it is always good knowing starclan doesn't need us yet," I responded while removing the leaves I had put on her stomach the night before.

" Well your scratches appear to be fine, no swelling or infection has come on, I explained. "I will remove your old nest and replace it with a new one, just hold on, " I said as I padded toward the Elders den. I worked quickly replacing One-eye's old nest, for I didn't want the old she to be cooped up in the medicine den for too long, or she would grow very cranky. But the entire time my mind was filled with questions. Why did Shadowclan come onto our territory? Were they looking for something or someone? these are the questions that were burning through my head, and I was eager to get an answer. I padded toward the warriors den carefully holding the thorny nest.

" Angelheart, are you in here, I need you to do me a favor," I said dropping the nest at the foot of the den. I heard the sound of footprints seconds later as Angelheart made her way out of the warriors den.

" How can I help you Silvermoon," the young she asked.

" I need you to get rid of this thorny nest for me, I would do it myself but I don't want One-eye to become cranky. She nodded her head and carefully picked up the thorny nest. There was something about the way she bounded out of the camp, as if she was eager to get out. Normally Angelheart was always looking for ways to help out in the camp, especially bothering me. I brushed off all thoughts and got back to work on helping One-eye to her new nest in the Elders den.
