I woke in my den after having a horrible dream. I was in the forest with Silvermoon and she was helping me gather herbs for the medicine den. We decided to walk along the thunderparth..then out of nowhere a monster came racing toward us. Silvermoon did not seem to notice the monster, or hear it. I was screaming for her to move out of the way, but she stepped out onto the thunderpath and the monster killed her. Why did I have a dream like that? I stood up and shook my pelt and headed for medicine den at a rather quick pace. When I poked my nose into the den, Silvermoon was still sound asleep, I could see the rise and fall of her flank as she breathed. I wandered into the den and sat next to her. I had become an apprentice not too long ago, and already I felt like I had learned everything I needed to know about being a medicine cat. I had no idea there were berries that looked similar to eachother, and that one mistake could cost the life of a cat. I shuddered at the thought of accidentally feeding a young sick kit deathberries. Silvermoon began to stir in her nest.

" Goodmorning Silvermoon, I hope you slept well," I said with a smile. She just looked at me oddly.

" What in Starclans name are you doing already awake Poppypaw," she asked me with a curiouse face.

" I just couldn't sleep any longer," I said as I helped her remove moss from her pelt. I could tell she didn't believe me, I had always slept in late, even as a kit. We quickly shared a mouse then padded over to the Elders den.

One-eye, Fernberry, and Thistleclaw were already awake and gossiping when we arrived.

" Goodmorning young ones, I take it you are here to check us over and not enjoy stories of Thunderclan many many moons ago," One-eye laughed.

" Sorry One-eye, I have Elders we need to care for, we don't have time for such stories," Silvermoon replied politely. We went about our bussiness while we listened to the Elders gossip, and complain about finding a tiny thorn in their pelts. It made me laugh when I tried to picture Silvermoon as a silly Elder, but then the dream I had came back to me, I sure hope Silvermoon lives long enough to become an elder.

We finished in the Elders den and made our way out into the forest.

"What are we going to do today," I asked curiously, as I had learned every herb and berry in this forest.

" We need to go to the twoleg place, we need to collect more catmint, Leaffall shall be coming soon, and I want to make sure I am prepared for anything," she said as we made our way to the edge of thunderclan territory. We poked our noses out of the forest to make sure no two-legs were around, then we scurried across the clearing to a fence where a giant patch of Catmint was growing.

"If we are able to carry enough, we should have enouh to last us through leafbare," she said with a smile on her face. We carried as much of the catmint as we could, the amount we had grabbed would definately be enough to last us through leafbare. We finished the day by sorting the herbs and berries out.

" You did a very good job today Poppypaw, I was worried you would mix the wrong berries, but you knew exactly wich ones were wich. I am proud to call you my apprentice," she said as she gently licked my forehead. I smiled up at her, I am glad I could be your apprentice, I thought to myself. I padded out of the medicine den and into the forest, I didn't know where I was going but I allowed my paws to take me wherever. The feeling of the cool night breeze felt nice as it blew through my soft brown-ish black pelt. I couldn't stop thinking about the dream I had of Silvermoon, was that only a dream, or was something bad really going to happen. I really didn't want to know the actual answer that question, but I decided to see if Starclan would help me. I lay down next to a bush close to the camp and closed my eyes.
