Do you ever just sit down and thing every once in a while, what the fuck is wrong with people? Cause I had one of those moments today. As I was walking my corgi, I happened to walk past a grocery store because I realized that I needed some stuff. Maaaaaaan do I wish I didn't. After I got all the stuff I needed I figured that going to see if overwatch was on sale was a good idea. In the process I walked past this mother and her son. The sons name was Robert, as I heard the mother call him. Sweet little Robert saw a cute blue skirt with flowers imprinted on the bottom. He asked his mother if he could get it for himself because he said it was "pretty". And this bitch of a mother grabbed his wrist and smacked his hand, saying "Robert we've been over this. Skirts are for girls and you're not a girl. Why don't you just pick out another pair of jeans?" And the boy, acting very grown up from how young he looked, asked again, but this time with a please. The mom seemed to kinda snap. She grabbed him by the wrist again and started to yell at him. You know, the whole "you're a boy you can't do girly stuff" kind of thing. (Again what the fuck man let the boy wear what he wants to as long as it covers everything that needs to be)
At this point I can't watch anymore and walked up to the two. I asked nicely, why the young boy couldn't get a skirt. The motherly bitch award winner said it was none of my business I turned to the little boy and asked him why he wanted the skirt. I kid you not this is what he said; "my friend likes to wear skirts and dresses to school but people are mean to him! I want to help! I like them too! I want to wear a skirt to school so maybe he won't be upset about it. It's also really really pretty and I like it."
From the look of it the kid looks like he was in third to fourth grade. He was to pure for the world. So I asked him and his mother to stay there for a minute, and the mother just rolled her eyes. Without the mom noticing I grabbed the skirt that I believed the the kid was talking about it, and took it up to the cash register. When I gave it the kid, he looked so happy. The mom not so much, but her face was priceless.
Best ten dollars I've ever spent.
