"wish you were right here
by my side,"

JACK

i cried all night. i missed her. i missed her so much. i was leaving in less than twenty-four hours and i may never ever see her again.

i needed her. i needed her with me. i didn't know how i would be okay and live perfectly fine without her.

she would be over 2,000 miles away from me. i was supposed to be spending time with my family but i let them know i wasn't up for it.

i was so beat down.

when i received soft knocks on my door, i didn't even bother to prepare myself for a presence.

"come in,"

i wipes my tears away, sitting up to see my little sister, isla. she slowly came through the doorway, closing the door behind her.

she walked over to me, climbing up into my lap. i wrapped my arms around her as she placed a soft peck on my cheek.

we sat in silence. i rested my head on hers.

"jacky,"

her voice was shaky.

i pulled my head off of hers looking into her eyes.

"i'm gonna miss you so much," she said. tearing spilling out of her eyes.

i kissed her head.

"i'm gonna miss you so much more,"

she wrapped her small hands around my neck to pull herself up. she placed a another kiss on my cheek.

"i love you so much jack,"

"i love you too baby,"

i'm leaving.

without her.
