JACK
i stepped out of the passenger side. staring at my house. i hadn't been here since what felt like forever. i saw one car parked in the driveway.
my mom is home.
i heard grayson close the driver door, popping the trunk open for me.
"hey gray?"
"yes jack?"
"help me surprise her,"
"how are you gonna do that?"
"nothing to jaw dropping just walk in first and distract her. i'll get my stuff out,"
"okay," she gave me a peck on the cheek making me smile.
i went to the back grabbing my suitcases and setting them on the ground closing her truck and locking the car.
i rolled my suitcases inside the house and looked around. everything was the same. i heard grayson and my mother converse in the kitchen. i started to make suitcases roll against the wood floor, causing my mom to peel her head out of the kitchen.
she looked completely shocked and almost frozen. pulling herself out of her trance she placed her hand over her mouth and started to cry. i let go of the handlebars and started to walk over to her and engulf her in a hug.
