Faith's P.O.V -
The bell rang; filling the halls, indicating school had finished. I was so fucking done with this stupid place. I was so done with how everything had to have a structure and how every single person in this hell hole was exactly the same. It was like my mind was in a completely different place today, so disorientated and frustrated at the littlest of things.Ignoring my thoughts, I began reversing out of the drive in my matte black Range Rover when I was brought to a sudden jolt. Some idiot had actually walked behind my car just as I was backing out of the parking spot. Checking in my side mirror; the person was still lying on the ground as the whole school surrounded, practically having a hissy fit and recording the entire event. This only angered me even more.
"Dude, seriously why did you have to pick today to walk out in front of my car" I screeched at the toned yet fragile body laying on the ground.
The boy stayed silent with his head in his hands.
"You really should look where you are going, ya know" Faith tested him, once again.
Finally, the shadowed figure gently peeled himself off the ground and slowly walked away. No words fell from his busted lip and no tears dropped from his blood shot eyes.
I felt confused. Why didn't he argue back? Every person in this school knows my reputation as a fighter. Who even was this mysterious, muscled boy?
I needed to find out. And that was extremely out of character for a cold hearted bitch, like me.Lukas' P.O.V -
The bell rang, freedom baby! Well that's until tomorrow's 9am start...but that's another eighteen hours into the future which I do not wish to even fathom for any longer.
For some reason, I was particularly eager to get out of school today. It was an pretty average day so far don't get me wrong, I was just excited to be released into the world of no schooling for yet another uneventful few hours.
After 'bro hugging' the entire squad, I placed headphones into my ears and began walking at crazy, rapid speed to reach my beaten up truck at the end of car park.
*Iphone flashing*
Continuing to keep up my pace, I noticed my phone had received a text . I quickly glanced down for not even a millisecond to check when I felt a rush of pain come over my body.
Next thing I knew, I was on the ground curled up in a tight ball while numbness quickly spread. I felt the blood trickling from my mouth whilst water began to blur my vision. Even though I could not see a thing, I felt the presence of the entire school hovering over me in awe of what they had just witnessed. And of course being the millennial's that they are, nobody helped. People had the time to record every part of my accident on their flashy iPhone's though that's the thing.Humiliation soon replaced numbness fairly swiftly and therefore I refused to raise my head to any point where someone could make out I was silently in agony.
I was waiting for the person I assumed whoever had just ran me down in the middle of the school car park to get out and apologise to the star quarterback but the reality of what I was greeted with, hit me like a ton of stone cold bricks.
"Dude, seriously why did you have to pick today to walk out in front of my car?" This squeaky but volatile voice soon echoed the street.
I was in actual shock that, A) someone could really speak to another human like that. And B) that other human; being me, Lukas Parker.
Lost in my train of thoughts, I was abruptly interrupted by the same person speaking down to me once again.
"You really should look where you are going, ya know"
Ignoring the arrogance which seethed off the voice of the person in front of me alone, I slowly limped away into the crowd of students trying to ignore the fact my ego was bruised a whole lot more than my body was.
