There was nothing bad I could really say about my life. Everything was undeniably faultless. I had the picture perfect family, parents happily married and going on strong together at twenty-five years. One stubborn but annoyingly cute little sister Kayla and quiet but smart ass brother Toby.
Then there's me, typical quarterback with no intention of doing my own homework. I guess you could say that I had a bit of a reputation at school. I never actually wanted to become 'popular', I just genuinely had a passion for football. Girls, parties, a certain level of respect...Anything that followed was a complete and utter bonus. High school was my playground. I seemed to own everyone and everything.
This time next year, I'm hoping to get into one of the top Universities playing football along side so many other legendary players. I also had a secret. I, Lukas Peters really was a English Literature major. Football was a hobby which I used to mask the fact that i'm basically a massive nerd eeeeeespecially when it came to poetry. I was an absolute sucker for depth, although I have never heard of a quarterback with a heart. While I was fantasising about how Poets such as Edgar Allen Poe constructed his most infamous dark romanticising poems, most boys my age thought about how many 'touch downs' they could achieve by the end of the week.
Thing is, sometimes having everything doesn't complete you. This is what I'm about to realise and normally I can see everything that's coming...Not this. Never her.
