Taeyong:
A bright light was shining through my eyelids and boring a hole into my skull. God, what time is it? I definitely needed a few more hours of sleep if I was going to make it through a performance. I squeezed my eyes shut tighter and tried to roll over but a sharp pain in my shoulder stopped me in my tracks. Now that I was a little more alert, I remembered I wasn't in the bed anymore and we were definitely in trouble. I opened my eyes and quickly blinked them shut again when a ray of light pierced my eyeball, but it was long enough for me to have seen where it was coming from. Water. Lots and lots of water. In the damn plane. I know I remember waking up earlier when the plane was having turbulence issues... but after that there was nothing. What the hell had happened? I shook my head and managed to pull my other arm out from under me and unclip my seatbelt. I hissed at the pain that pulled at my left shoulder again, but dragged myself upright and finally took a good look around me.
"What... Yuta? What the hell - Yuta!" I looked over at where I strapped him in when the plane had begun shaking and I couldn't breathe. He wasn't moving. My hands started shaking and my vision blurred as my heart gave a tight squeeze. No. No...Look again. Focus, I told myself. Stared at the water around us for a moment before I was brave enough. Taking deep even breaths I looked more closely and almost passed out with relief when I could see his chest moving. I dipped my head and swore out loud when it shifted my shoulder and I felt like I had ripped it in two. I checked my arm but besides a few cuts and bruises it seemed fine. I tried lifting it and swore again, louder and much longer this time. There was a big chance it had dislocated during impact.
Impact... Where the hell were we? Breathing sharply through my mouth I took another look around but most of the windows had been closed in the room when I had been trying to sleep. I knew we had to be somewhere in a large body of water though because the light shining through the bathroom window lit it up as it rippled and dipped into various nooks and crannies around the room. I had to figure out how to get Yuta and I out of here. What if the plane was sinking? My heart leaped in my throat because there was no way I'd get out if we needed to swim. My shoulder was already on fire and if Yuta didn't wake up soon...
"Yuta?" I called again. "Yuta! Damn it, Wake up!" He stayed silent. I let out a frustrated growl and somehow managed to push my way out of my chair. "I swear, if you don't wake up, I'll - " I let the threat hang in the air, not really interested in finishing it. I reached his side after a little wading in the icy water and looked him over carefully. There was a big cut on the side of his head, the blood dripping heavily down his ear and onto the side of his throat; his lips and hands had a few smaller cuts but he seemed OK overall. I touched his shoulder gently with my good hand and tried to wake him again.
Yuta:
"Yuta!" I flinched at the level of noise directed right into my ear and was about to tell Taeyong to leave me the hell alone when my head began pounding like someone had been playing soccer with it. A groan slipped out of my lips as I felt something soft and wet touching my neck.
"Yuta, we need to move. I don't know how deep in the water we are." He sounded worried and for a moment I wondered why until I remembered exactly why I was sitting in this chair in the first place. I opened my eyes to see Taeyong grimacing and wiping at my neck with a wet towel. There were scrapes and bruises all over his face and on his arms. A blood vessel must have burst in his left eye because I couldn't see any white in it, at least from this angle.
"W-W-What h-happened?" I thought my question would come out louder but it sounded like a whisper.
"I don't know." He said. He looked me in the eye and his lips pursed for a second before he carried on. "I think the plane crashed. I'm not sure why...or where we are. I just know we need to get out of here. The water's already getting higher." He hissed a little as he moved away from me and grabbed at his arm that I only realised now seemed to be just hanging there.
