A/N: Hey. I recently learned not to stay up until 3:49 AM writing stories for Wattpad because if you do, you'll get hungry af (at least I will). So I don't know the next time I'm gonna be doing that. Anyway, this chapter is a good one and I think you'll like it. Well at least I hope you'll like it. Enjoy!
I walked to the Spoon. This was the first time in forever that I went into the Spoon by myself. I opened the door, saw Amber, and walked over to her. "Hey Amber, can I talk to you for a few minutes?"
She looked at me confused. Probably because I had never done this to her before. "Sure," she replied.
I sat at the booth. "So I found out that you're friends with Walker today."
"Yeah," she replied. "I found out that you know Walker today. So I guess we're equal." She turned to walk away.
"Well," I said, which made her turn around, "how are you two friends?"
"Kind of the same way you and Walker met," Amber replied. "He knew someone I was friends with, and we met and started talking, and pretty much became best friends." She looked at me innocently.
I processed what she said. "Best friends?" I asked.
"Yep, best friends." She walked to the other side of the counter and leaned in, closer to me. "Best."
I was mentally freaking out. In the angry way. I didn't know what Amber thought/knew about Walker's and my relationship, but I wanted to find out. Right then. So I asked. "What kind of relationship do you think Walker and I are in?"
She looked at me confused and innocently. "What, I just think that you two are sort of friends. Why?"
I rolled my eyes. "You probably know why."
Amber looked at me innocently. "I really don't." Then she realized something and smirked. "You like him."
I suddenly felt a mixture of defensive and angry. "What?! I don't like Walker! Well, I do, but not like that! I don't know what you're talking-" I put my head in my hands. I had just proven what Amber thought.
"You do," Amber grinned. "Well, I'll be sure to tell-"
"If you tell anyone, you're dead," I warned. "I swear I will kill you."
Amber put her hands up in innocence. "Fine. I won't tell anyone." She leaned closer to me. "But why?"
"Well first, I don't do crushes," I explained. The second reason was deeper than that though. "And second, there might be a chance that Andi likes him too. I don't want her to have to worry about that. She's already going through a whole lot. I don't want to put another heavy thing on her shoulders."
Amber looked into my eyes. "Do you think that Andi would be miserable if she knew that you were going through this?"
"Not necessarily," I replied. "I just don't want her to worry about my problems when she has a bunch of her own."
Amber nodded. "So you're not going to tell her."
"I'm not planning on it until Jonah comes back."
She nodded again. "But don't you think she deserves to know who her best friend has a crush on?"
I was starting to get frustrated. Amber probably just wanted me to give Andi another problem to put on top of all of her own, and I wasn't about to do that, let alone let Amber do it. "Look, I'm not telling her yet, okay? Just please stop asking about it." I realized something. "And don't you go telling her."
She put her hands up in innocence. "I wasn't planning on it," she assured me. In case I didn't believe her, she added, "Seriously."
"Okay," I replied. "I'm gonna go now, okay?"
She smiled. "Okay. See you later, Buffy."
I looked at her. Something about the way she was talking to me seemed suspicious. I didn't know what it was.
