chapter ten

I hear the door bell rings. I tell Audrey, and she slaps me on my butt. "go get em tiger!" my best friend is weird. I go and open the door. "bye mom! I'm leaving!" I close the door behind me and Matthew is just inches from my face. "Matthew...what are you doing?" he backs away, and shrugs it off like that wasn't just awkward as heck. he opens the car door for me and now we're on our way to the movie theater.

when we get there I look at all the movies that are showing. Rio 2, no. the fault in our stars, nah I don't feel like crying. ooh! the new transformers movie with Mark Wahlberg! (why do people go on dates at the movies, they don't even talk. right after that question slips into my mind a couple sits down in front of us. they are eating each other's faces! oh now I get it! wait... I don't want a kiss from Matthew...do I? when the previews start, I get comfortable.

Audrey's pov

I send a text to Jace. 'your girl is on a date...with Matt' he responds within seconds. 'what?! how could you let her leave?!' 'sorry dude.' after I saw Ronny in the bathroom today I walked up to Jace and slapped him in the face. he explains to me that Claire went over to the house with smudged lipstick, and not a lot of clothing. "she was drunk." he says. she wanted to hook up with Jace after some random hook up. I was ripped from my thoughts from another text from Jace. 'can you come over...please? I have some information, and I don't know if I should tell Ronny or not...I really like her.' I shrug then reply. 'sure' "hey Jen, imma go see Jace real quick. be right back." "okay sweetie!"

I ring the doorbell. we it sounds all boring and low! that is a stupid door- the door opens quickly and then a strong grip reels me inside in a matter of seconds. "ow! Jace let go!" he rubs his neck. "sorry." "what do you need to tell me?" his eyes are filled with anger, and jealousy. "when Claire came over the other day she told me that she just had a really good time with a really hot guy, she tried to make me jealous but it didn't work. then she told me she wouldn't tell me who she'd slept with. I didn't even care. I asked her to leave, she got mad and yelled to me that Matthew is hotter than me, and would at least put out. I closed the door and went back inside." it takes me a little to process what is going on. so then Ronny thinks Jace slept with Claire, but actually Jace likes Ronny, and Claire slept with Matthew, the same Matthew that Ronny is on a date with as of this moment...holy shitaki mushrooms! "Jace...we need to tell Ronny."

in the next couple of minutes we're at the movie theater. we buy tickets just in time. we walk into the theater and Jace whispers to me. "there they are....wow." I look to him and his face is shocked. "what?" "Ronny is so beautiful, I haven't really seen her today so I didn't get a chance to take it in." I look up at him with a what-the-heck face. "weirdo." we quietly sit behind them. during the entire movie Jace glares at Matt with an expression on anger and sorrow, he's hurt that Ronny is on a date, and not with him. during the movie Ronny is fidgeting with discomfort. near the end they look at each other, Matt stares at her with a smirk. that jerk-off! Jace gets up. oh no! I whisper, "Jace no!" he looks at me with his popcorn in hand, and shakes his head. he starts to walk backwards, but trips on the stairs! he screams "ow!" Ronny's head snaps over to Jace, and I know she immediately recognizes his voice! 

Matt looks irritated. maybe he does like her but, even if he does he's still a jerk who will probably cheat on her. Ronny runs to Jace who is on the floor with popcorn all over himself. I walk up to Matt and tell him everything. he smirks at me. "she won't believe you, besides I want her, and I get what i want." instinctively my arm pulls back and then flies toward right into Matt's smug face. did I just do that? he's holding his nose, everyone is staring. Ronny is stroking Jace' s head. he hit his head hard. I look back at Matt. he looks at me with disgust. I stick my tongue out at him. he's such a bitch I look back over at Jace and Ronny, awww they're laughing!

Jace' s pov
we're laughing! yes! she will probably start talking to me again. I get up along with Ronny and we head over to Matt and Audrey. Ronny's hand flies up to her mouth along with a gasp. "oh my globberz!" did she just say globberz? "what happened!?" Audrey points her thumb over to Matt. "you're boyfriend here just got himself punched in the face." I flinch when she says the word boyfriend.

once we're all back in my truck (excluding Matt) Ronny turn to me, arms crossed. "if you want to explain now, I'm listening, I might not be in a couple minutes though." her face is hard and I can see the hurt in her eyes. so I tell her everything, including the part about Matt. when I'm done with my story she looks at me emotionless...did I say something wrong? she sits there...21 seconds to be exact before leaning over and kissing me on my cheek. I smile from ear to ear, and that smile stays on my face the entire drive home. Ronny moved herself to the back seat after the kiss so the whole drive her and Audrey were chatting away. once we're home I frown falls on my face. I want Ronny to stay with me, forever. whoa I just sounded like a psycho...no. I sigh to myself and force my body to open the door and exit my truck. I walk the girls over to Ronny's house and forcibly say my goodbyes.

once the door closes I head back over to my house and plop down on the couch. I have it bad...
