We were in SUV front seat was taken by Zoya, on driver seat Tae Joon, in middle row me and Ron and in behind Tau and Sophia. It was an awkward silence in the car which I decided to break.
"Where are we going anyway?" I asked hoping anyone would answer me at least respond to me.
"It's a surprise! It's our first dinner together so I had made a great plan, hope you guys will like it." Zoya said.
"Wish Tae Joon had such a brain," Tau commented and I laugh at that.
"I heard that." Tae Joon yelled from the front.
"Good. You should learn something from your girlfriend." Tau shouted back and we all laugh.
When we reach in front of us was a huge house with a swimming pool and garden in front of it. On the lawn, the table was decorated with lights and was playing soft music.
"Tae Joon you should really learn from Zoya." I was staring at the view in front of me in awe.
"You like it?" Zoya asked.
"Duh! It looks so cool." I said walking further. Chilling air hit me making goosebumps all over my body. It's cold today.
"We have alcohol right?" Tau asked.
"How much ever you wan," Zoya answered.
"Make sure not to drink much." Tae Joon warns. "Especially you Adya control yourself a little."
"Whatever," I mumble.
"So what's the plan?" Tau asked.
"Okay so it's on you guys' proper dinner by chefs or we could go barbecue on our own."
"I say barbeque." I raise my hand and everyone agrees to it.
Barbeque stove was kept for heating. I, Tae Joon, and Zoya were placing plates, sauce, and drinks on the table while Ron, Tau, and Sophia were gone inside to bring raw meat. After a while, I and Zoya were near barbeque grilling some Chicken, while others were on table drinking and talking.
"Tau said Ronald likes," Zoya said in low voice.
"He never said that and I am not that sure." I bite my lips staring at the meat.
"Oh come on anyone can tell that Ronald is into you. He couldn't get his eyes off you." I look at Ron's direction seeing he already was staring at me. He stood up and walk toward us.
"I will keep Tae busy you have your fun." Zoya whisper and walk away.
What? She can't just leave me! What should I do? What should I do? I put my attention back to chicken flipping them. I feel a presence next to me. I look up and saw Ron. He hand me a glass which surly had beer in it.
"Thanks." I thank him. "Not going to drink?" I asked when I didn't see any glass in his hand.
"Still on duty and there should be someone sober to drive us all." He said and I nodded.
"Zoya said it will be okay if we stay overnight,," I mumble flipping the chicken again.
"Don't what to take a chance."
I drank a few beers from a glass. "It's so normal." I smile.
"What?" He asked.
"Hanging out with friends and drinking, enjoying it feels like I am living a normal life. It's good to have such a break." There was silence between us not uncomfortable or awkward one but a comforting silence.
"I am thinking of quitting my job," Ron said out of the blue.
"Because you can't kiss me while you're on your duty?" I joked.
