Happy Reading

Deeksha's POV:
He looked alluring in that black suit. He didn't notice me but I am sure he would in some time. I pacified myself and went into the conference room.
All the associates gathered on time and took their respective positions. Soon my boss asked me to start the presentation, that was when he saw me. I could not understand that expression.
Was he shocked? happy? upset? I could not figure it out. Nevertheless, I started my presentation and everything ended on a good note.
Neither Harshad spoke to me, nor did I. The lunch was served and bemusingly both of us reached the counter at the same time. I smiled hesitantly, he too did.
I didn't know the reason for not being ready to face him. Maybe because he would question me about Nikhil, I don't know, yet, I decided to break the ice and went forward. I could no longer run away from this fact.
"Hi", I began
"Oh! hi, long time", he seemed astonished probably because I started the conversation.
"I know, how are you doing?", I asked taking a small portion of the mousse.
"I am good, what about you?", he asked as we started walking.
"I am fine too", I said smiling at him.
"When did you shift to Bangalore? And how is your husband doing?", he asked. Damn these tears. I was fortunate enough that Ananya called me. I excused myself and left.
Before leaving, he waved at me. I too did.

Harshad's POV:
I had seen her after a year or so. But I don't know why she looked different. That bubbly, cute Deeksha was lost. This Deeksha looked strange.
I wondered if there was any sort of problem in her life. I even asked her about her husband but before she answered one of her colleagues called her and she had to leave. Never mind, I just hope she is happy.
I am going to work with her now, spend time with her, stay with her.
"Shut up Harshad!" snapped my mind. She is a married woman now, you are not supposed to think about her. Let her be, saying so I started cooking.
"This is so hard mom, I don't know what to make" I started whining like a small kid on phone.
Making dinner was such a tedious job and I was bored eating the restaurant's food daily. So, I was trying to cook.
"That is why I keep asking you to get married", she began.
"Not again mom, please", I told in a frustrated tone.
