Brutal Battles and Back-stabbing Bro's

Randomly killing people is really disrespectful, in my opinion.

"Today," Helgi announced to the masses of people, looking up at him, "floors 1 to 270 are on the red, whilst the other floors are on blue team. The team that wins receives a note that allows them to go to the spa on floor 112 instead of training."

The training ground reminded me of the Hunger Games, so it wasn't a pleasant sight.

A bunch of bloodthirsty einherjar looked around, particularly at me, assertively beating their massive chests at me. I was pretty confident that I could take them. I had been going on quests since I was 10; I could do this.

"Ooo; we never usually get gifts for killing." Alex smirked a little too wide for my liking. "Well, except the excitement and delight for it, of course."

Magnus gushed at his maybe-girlfriend's romantic words.

"Isn't she sweet?" Magnus breathed, looking at her with genuine adoration.

Was what my attraction towards having crazy people as good friends?

"Yeah. Puts the cute in execute." I commented in a monotone voice.

Alex smiled widely at me and fist bumped me.

"We better win," Alex asserted, unravelling the garrote wire from her waist under her pink jumper, "Because I'm going to use it every time I'm forced to go Bickram Yoga to the Death practise."

"I never thought I'd hear Death and Yoga in the same sentence." I retorted.

"No one believes that Bikram Yoga is useful...well, except Bikram."

"Who the hell is--"

"Fight!"

Instantly, the only thing you could hear were battle cries like 'floor 512!', 'death to all punks!' and the classic 'die!'.

Ah, the nostalgia.

Everyone sprinted into the centre, the sounds of swords clashing protruded into my ears.

Crap, these hotel residents were good.

Arrows flew towards me quickly, almost not giving me enough time to rolled out of the way.

But I did, luckily.

I leaped out of the way, gripping my sword with two hands as I did so. The training sword was too heavy for me, but I could swing it around when I needed to. Ahead of me, two men were fighting, one pulling out a knife from his hair and stabbing the other in the chest. He turned to me and smirked, the blue face paint on his face flaking off.

"Come on, noob!" The guy, who looked like The Rock Johnson if he were hairy and on steroids, smiled menacingly at me.

His axe swung to my right, I grabbed the handle and hit his hand with the flat side of my sword.

He growled inhumanely as I gripped both the axe and sword in either hand before swiping his axe through the right side of his body.

Frankly, I didn't really want to wait to hear him yell in pain and threaten to kill me, so I dropped his axe and ran off, but not before I stole his dagger, just in case.

Reminding myself that they were going to recover, I gave myself a mission; Hazel's at the end, knocked out from a Minotaur, and all the einherjar were monsters blocking my path. It worked, since I began killing everything in my path.

I tried to strike where it would hurt less, since the idea of killing demigods was a horrible concept to me, but all around me all I could see were demigods annihilating each other with zero remorse. I even struck some with lightning and it felt good, well, it did, until I noticed a girl trying to kill Magnus.
