"Cross it, TJ!" I nudged it, spamming the square button on the PS4. He dribbled pass Kyle Walker and got to the edge of the box. He pressed the square button with perfect power, and I finessed the shot, perfectly ending up in top bins.

"Bale's hat trick!" I celebrated, high-fiving TJ. Mallory threw her controller on the floor.

"Andre, you're never playing a game again." She complained. "Varane has a hat trick because you gave us three own goals."

He shrugged as Mallory stropped away.

"Mallory!" TJ called out, grinning. "Don't be such a sore loser."

"I'm not." She insisted, turning as red as her hair. "Breakfast's in 5 minutes, and I don't want to kill anyone who's sitting in my seat again."

Us boys agreed with her and switched the console off, Andre and I picking up our bags. TJ raised an eyebrow as we left his room.

"Disappearing again?" He mumbled in my ear. I only gave him a meek smile as I brushed pass him.

As Andre and I took the stairs down, I recalled shouting at the three before we left. A small smile etched on my face as I realised that it was good that they didn't agree to come with us. If that happened, maybe I wouldn't ever have had the opportunity to reunite with Nico, or find out about Andre's heritage, or get a stronger bond with Trisha. She was still a prick, but was a caring prick.

"You tired?" He asked me between pants. (Oh god that sounds horrible. You know what I mean.)

"Of your bs? Yep." I responded. "Of rubbing down the stairs? Yep."

He glanced at me with a displeasured look but let it slide, us two soon reaching the bottom. We jogged to breakfast, making it just in time.

"You're lucky that I saved you all seats." Halfborn grunted. "Just take the elevator like normal people."

Andre and I looked at each other then back at him.

"Yeah... no." He pondered, before concluding. Halfborn just shrugged as we faced our plate.

I wondered where Trisha was, but I was answered as I saw a displeased face serving a table before us. She still had her signature cap on, now reading 'piss off'. Her hair flew out of her cap and her constant blinking made the sunset thing going on with her eyelids flutter. I stared at them, marvelled with how makeup worked.

She glanced in my direction and frowned deeper, conveying a message I could easily understand. I chuckled as I faced my group again.

"...and Andre is even worse at COD." Mallory shook her head. "He confuses Zoom in with shooting all the bloody time."

"Gaming is boring." He inaccurately told us. "It's so fake and repetitive."

"Only people who can't do something don't enjoy it." TJ pointed out.

"Is that why you don't enjoy talking to girls?" I asked.

His response was his plate thrown in my direction. I quickly dodge before he could slice off my head; I had no time to come back alive in a couple of hours when I had an ice palace to go to.

"You guys might be able to respawn, but I can't, so keep your throwing to a minimum." A voice behind us asked. We turned around to see Trisha holding a plate of food, a forced smile etched on her face. She served our table, leaving Andre and I last.

"Hurry up and meet me at the tree." She whispered in my ear. "Oh, and I spat in your food."

She patted me on the shoulder and strolled away. I swapped my plate with Andre. He made me lose the previous game anyway.
