Chapter Eight

"They are monsters!" Louis cried out chasing Tia towards a different ride while Justin tried to pull Maggie back to the rollercoaster. Lucy and Amy just watched in amusement seeing their friends so desperate to escape. Louis finally grabbed Tia around her hips and put her under his arm walking back to rest. Justin threw Maggie over his shoulder and walked back. He put her in the front beside Amy while Louis forced Tia into the empty seat beside Miley.

"I can't die like this!" Tia cried gripping Miley's hand. Niall was recording the whole thing since he wasn't going cause someone had to watch Chris and he willingly volunteered. Amy was excited since she had never been on a rollercoaster. She gripped the bar handles in excitement when it started moving. At first, it went to the top really slow, then it started dropping fast. Everyone was screaming. Maggie gripped Amy's hand tightly shutting her eyes. Amy stopped screaming and started laughing. When the ride ended, she was laughing while everyone was panting.

"That was fun!" She squealed jumping out almost tripping. She accidentally dropped phone and went to pick it. When she bent down to do so, someone grabbed her hand and forcefully pulled her up. She came face to face with a man wearing a hood over his face. He started dragging Amy away. Amy wanted to scream but she couldn't for some reason. It was as though she had forgotten how to. Instead, she started thrashing her legs but the man was stronger. Everyone's attention was on the celebrities so no one saw her being taken away. Luckily for her, a teenage girl turned around to talk to her friend and saw what was happening.

"Someone's kidnapping Harry Styles child!"

Harry's head snapped around and he saw Amy being violently pulled away while she thrashed about with tears running down her cheeks. The boy band including Justin flung into action and started chasing him. Before they could get to them, another man came and picked Amy up flinging her on his shoulder before he started running. Some other men tried to block them but Liam, Justin and Zayn started fighting them off. Harry, Niall and Louis chased the other man who was running towards a van. He opened the back and threw Amy in. He got into the van and started the ignition. Before he could move, Louis jumped in the front along with Niall causing him to stop. Louis moved to the door and forcefully dragged the man out getting on top of him while the police started arriving. Harry had managed to break the lock behind the van and threw the door open. Amy jumped into his arms sobbing uncontrollably.

"I'll never let you out of my sight." Harry sighed as Louis came towards him. He held Amy's hand squeezing it with a frown on his face.

"They'll never take you away from us." He whispered kissing her cheek.

After that event, they decided it was best to return home. Harry has gone to court to gain full custody of Amy and it was soon all over the news. Amy had cheered up a lot when that happened. Modest had also signed a label deal with the girls to make her even happier. Now, Harry and Liam had taken Amy to the hospital for a check up. They were in the waiting room waiting for the full results.

"I'm sure she's healthy." Liam stated putting his hand on his laps. "She seems very healthy."

"How I wish you were right." The doctor came up to them looking very devastated. He sighed adjusting his glasses. It was at times like this that he wanted a different job. "Amy is a healthy child, but your suspicions of her being mentally behind her age is true. It's nothing to worry about but we've prescribed a few drugs in case. Now, I need you to understand that not all children are fortunate at birth and Amy just so happens to fall within that group."

"What are you saying?" Harry asked getting up with Liam. The doctor sighed adjusting his glasses nervously.

"Amy's reason for being mentally behind her age is mostly because when she was born, she must've been very ill and got autism. Also, she happens to have epilepsy."

Harry and Liam both gasped. Harry began to put everything together. The reason why Amy never wanted to leave the house now was so clear to him. But he still didn't understand why she acted so cheerful. Autistic people were meant to be very reserved and awkward, but Amy was hardly like that. Also, she seemed to adjust to the new environment fairly enough, or did she? But it was what he said lastly that seriously made him concerned.

"How come she hasn't had a seizure yet?" Liam asked.

"Hers must be late to show which is rare but happens. Also, you might want to keep her away from nuts. She's deadly allergic to them."

"This is not what we expected." Harry sighed running his hands through his hair just as a nurse came out with Amy who looked very uncomfortable. Harry stood up as she slowly came closer reluctantly. He noticed and quickly swooped her off her feet into his arms. She wrapped her hands around his neck burying her face into his shoulder.

"You're okay." Harry whispered comforringly. "You're still the loving Amy to me. Don't hold back anymore okay. If you want to scream or cry, just do it."

She nodded while Liam went with the doctor to get her drugs. After that, they went back to Harry's house where Louis was waiting with a whole pack of cookies while Zayn held Niall down while he sadly watched Amy munch it down.
