8 Eyes for You

36- A New Home

{Season 3}

"Have you seen my drawing tablet?" Hidemi quickly pushes his suitcase out the door. "Hyun Oh?" 

Hidemi watches me as I sat on the bed. I sighed and shook my head. "No, I haven't..." 

Hidemi stares at the ground and back at me. He takes off his shoes and swiftly walks towards me. Landing on the bed, he hugs me tight with his cheek against mine.

"I love you," he says in English. He turns his head and stares into my eyes. His lips kiss the corner of mine. "Hyun Oh?"

"...you're leaving me..." 

Hidemi stops and sighs, "I'm not leaving you. I'm leaving the dorm, there's a difference."

"Can't I live with you?" I looked down.

Again, a sigh. "No...I'm sorry. Hona is letting me live with her temporary until I can find an apartment." 

"...okay."

"Hyun Oh," he calls, "it's okay...alright? You'll be graduating in the winter this year. I'm sure things will be okay and I'll have an apartment by then." Hidemi kisses my forehead and stands up, "Come on, help me with packing up."

"...okay."

...

Two weeks ago...

After the wedding, Hidemi graduated. None of his family members were able to come overseas, but his friends were able to. Everyone was excited for him, everyone kept patting his head and hugging him tightly.

I remember standing there and holding the flowers. Hidemi's jaw was hurting from smiling out of joy. His eyes wandered from the floor to my eyes. His eye smile. 

While everybody was distracted by the announcements, Hidemi quickly walked over to me and hugged me.

"I love you..." he whispers in my ear and kisses my cheek, "thanks for coming."

I catch his smile at me, a genuine smile. "I'm glad that you're happy..."

...

The last box. 

Hidemi groans and lays on my bed, "I really need to get lunch for the movers...they're so nice." 

I chuckled and leaned in, "yeah they are."

"You're cute...did you take care of your skin?" Hidemi raises his hand up and rubs his thumb against my cheek. 

I nod, "yeah. Scoot over." 

Hidemi moves closer to the wall and presents the open space on the bed. "Join me~!"

I roll my eyes at him and sit on the bed. "You seem excited to move..."

"I'm not, you know that," Hidemi pats the pillow, "lay down with me."

I lean back and let my head hit the pillow, "are you sure you're not excited?"

"I'm kinda...but I'm kinda not. I know one thing for sure..." Hidemi lowers his voice, "...I'm going to visit and talk to you every day still."

"Really?" I leaned in and began to whisper. "Even when I have finals?"

"Well, we managed the finals the last time and the other last time." 

"I guess so..." 

We both were quiet for a while. Hidemi puts his arm around me and pulls me closer.

"This will be my last night with you," he inhales, "I miss you already."

"I'm right here though."
