Chapter 13

I woke up in cold sweat. I had the dream of Scar dying again. I quickly calmed myself and saw that the time was already noon. I feel really nervous but I pushed the feeling aside thinking it was because of relieving that memory. I quickly got up and brushed my teeth while changing my clothes and a hood, then I opened my door. I heard loud crying and I swiftly walked down the stairs. I saw Lilly crying into Charles's arms at the couch's, when I got to the end of the stairs. When Lilly saw me she got up and practically ran into me, hugging me. I left my arms to my side not really much of a hugger.

"What's wrong?" I said.

"D-Dixon," she cried out and then she became a weeping mess.

"Did Dixon do something?" I asked stoically. She didn't say anything only shaking her head 'no'. I didn't have the patience for her to calm down. So I took her shoulders and put her arms length away from me.

"What about Dixon than?" I said with a bit of curiosity leaking into my voice.

"L-Liz said Dixon didn't come home last night and I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up! He always picks up!" She said sniffling.

"When did you call him?" I said.

"Around three hours ago. I am afraid something might happen to him Nemesis" She said and went back to crying. Dang it, I should've followed my instincts. I thought angrily at myself. Bring her to the couch I went back to the front door.

"Where are you going?" Charles asked.

"To find Dixon," I said and I was going to leave but I added, "gather all your friends here and wait for me,". I walked towards my car and took out my phone and sent Code a text 'to try to find information to all the different gangs' When I got closer to my car I saw a figure leaning against it. I didn't bring my backpack at least I have my dagger wrapped inside the jacket I am wearing and a gun in my boot. I took out my dagger and hid it behind myself. When I got near the figure slowly became somebody familiar.

"Cats," I said when she could hear me.

"Nemesis," She stated.

"What do you want," I said calmly. She got off my car then.

"Not what I want, but what you want," she said.

"How do you know what I want?" I asked. She took out a picture from her jacket and I walked closer so that I could see. But not close enough that it would be dangerous for me. Dixon.

"What do you know?" I asked again.

"I will tell you in the car," She said gesturing to my car, "But all you need to know now is that I mean no harm to you," That was good enough for me so I unlocked the door and got into the driver seat and she went to the passenger seat.

"I am guessing you know where we are going?" I said not liking the fact that I have no clue where to go.

"Yes, just go straight," she said.

"How do you know about me?" I said while driving.

"I will start from the beginning," She said "After the fight with Dagger and I. I came out and heard fighting. I saw mostly you fighting and protecting the other guy who was behind you. So ever since then, I researched about you," she said.

"What do you know?" I said looking at her through the rearview mirror.

"I know that you live with the president's family. That Lilly's boyfriend is kidnapped. I guessed that you would want to find him from what I've seen from before. And I was right," She said, "Is there anything else that I should know?" She asked.

I glanced at her. "No. Where too?" I asked and she pointed me to many turns and finally we arrived at a gate. Behind that gate was a mansion.

"Do you know who lives there?" I asked.

"Yes, the Phantom Gang," She said

"Another gang?" I muttered to myself.

"The Phantom Gang can get into places without anybody knowing until it's too late. From what I've researched about them is that they've never killed kids before only adults. So I don't think you need to worry about Dixon that much," she said.

"Do you know their goal as a gang?" I said.

"What does that have anything to do with them kidnapping Dixon?" Cats asked.

"You may never know their real intentions until you know their goal," I said.

"Oh... their goal is to take down the government," she said. I got in deep thoughts until Cats snapped me out of it. "Are we saving Dixon or not?" She said looking at me weirdly. I gave her an answer by getting out of the car and she followed me. I had parked a little bit ahead of the entrance so no guard standing in front of the gate would get suspicious.

"Cat's, let's scout the perimeter, you go to the left and I will go to the right and we can meet in the middle," I said. When Cats followed my orders without questions I became a bit suspicious. I went to the right and circle around back to the car and saw cats already there.

"There weren't any guards outside the gates, there were few scattered around the inside perimeter of the land but not outside," She said and I nodded.

"I need you to be our ticket out of here, so I need you to stay put here," I said.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"We may have to leave right away so keep the engine running," I said and walked away towards the right side of the gate. I looked back when I know that she couldn't see me anymore and saw that she didn't follow me.

So... they are using him for bait. But they aren't expecting me to rescue him.
