Chapter 3

The door open, showing a middle age man that is average height. My eyes were calculating, he had green eyes and light brown hair.

"Please do come in," He said opening the door wider and going to his office, "please sit,"

We sat down and Abaddon went straight to business. "This is her," Abaddon said

"Does she, have a name?" He asked.

"No, we got her when she was abandoned as a baby and we hadn't named her," Abaddon said.

Liar, I can't believe... actually no, I can believe that because he's always been a liar his whole entire existence.

"Do you want to name her? I have some suggestions since she been with us her whole life," Abaddon said and I just glanced at him before I looked back to the desk in front of me.

"Ok, what is it?" he said

"Nemesis, because she is a woman of justice," He said. He forgot the second meaning, vengeance.

"Yeah, is that alright with you, Nemesis?" He said trying out the name. I looked up at him and gave a short smile.

"Yeah that's fine," I said politely and looked back at the table.

"Okay, Nemesis my name is Eric," He said and I looked up at him. Such an innocent name. I glanced at Abaddon and he gave a slight nod.

"Hello, Eric," I said

"I think it's best if she is introduced to your children first," Abaddon said. I could almost laugh because Eric is so oblivious to him getting controlled by Abaddon.

"Yes, that's a great idea!" He said and got up waving us with him as he left his office.

We got up and followed Eric out of the room and into the hallway. "Lily and Charles are my children, they are waiting for their friends to come so they should be in the living room," He said going downstairs and into one of the open rooms, which I am guessing is the living room. They had a big TV hanging from the ceiling. There was a guy and a girl sitting on a huge couch. I guess they were Charles and Lily.

"Charles? Lily? Come over here, I have somebody I would like you to meet," Eric said.

Lily practically jumped off the couch and came to us, were as Charles was less energetic getting up and coming to his father. Lily and Charles have the same eye colour as their dad but they had blond hair. Charles was pretty tan and Lily was pale.

"What?" Charles said.

"Nemesis will be staying with us for a while, so I would like if you guys would make her feel welcomed," Eric said.

Charles looked at me suspiciously and Lily got all excited. "Yay, a new friend! Come on Charles aren't you happy?" He looked at her and just went back to the couch to finish whatever he was watching.

"Lily, would you excuse us for a second? I need to bring Nemesis to her room," He said.

"See you later Nemesis!" She said. I just nodded to her and she went back to the couch too.

"Come, I will show you to your room and debrief you on the work you will be doing," he said walking away from the living room and going back upstairs with Abaddon behind him and me right after them.

"Okay, so the reason I hired you was that I don't trust the people they hang out with and I also want to make sure they are safe wherever they are going outside this house," He said pausing to look pass Abaddon and at me.

"Yes, that's fine," I said

"Good," He said. After passing a few more rooms he finally stopped.

"Your room will be in between them, Lily's on the left and Charles's on the right," he said pointing to both rooms.
