Dolly walks home, startled about what happened at school. What in the world happened? How is all of this possible? Dolly thinks on her way home. She opens the door, and her mom is on the counter, crying. "Mom? What's wrong?!"
"Today something horrible happened, our old house was trashed by the people we lended it to... IT'S SO HORRIBLE!!!"
"Wooooow!" Dolly thought with sarcasme.
Dolly's mom is always the first one to worry about the old house too much. When it comes to her crying, though, something terrible has happened. Dolly's mom shows her the picture of the house, the house had all of its furniture trashed, broken, ripped, and worst of all, wet. Dolly's mind swelled up with anger as she thought of all the good and bad memories she made with her friends, family and her dead dog...Dodo. WHY! Why the old house! All of the good memories, TRASHED! Who would do such a thing! Dolly thought with sadness in her eyes as she cried.
"Worst of all, WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE DONE BY THE PEOPLE AND IT COSTS... more than we have!"
Dolly's face is shocked with grief as her face started swelling up with tears again. Her mom tries to cheer her up with a pat in the back, but Dolly cries and tears that look like they're racing start running down her cheeks. "Why do you think... *sniff* they did this to the house...?" While her mom and Dolly talked quietly, Jack was walking his dog when he sneaks a look into the house. He hears what Dolly and her mom are talking about and frowns, knowing he was invading their private chat. Dolly feels like she's being watched and stares at the window. To her surprise, Dolly finds Jack at the window and asks her mom if she can go outside to take it all in. "Of course you can sweetie, just come back for dinner! Your father is coming back from his job in Alabama!"
"Okay mom!" with her excitement to see her father she had to deal with Jack. Dolly confronted him in a stern voice,
"Jack, why are you looking at what my mom and I are saying?" Jack just stands there, looking ashamed for watching her like that but lets her take a breath before he says anything.. It took a bit but she was okay and Jack could finally say what he thought,
"Sorry Dolly, I was just walking my dog when I heard you and your mom talking so I wanted to check on you and see if you were okay..." Dolly gives Jack a look of concern and confusion but adds a small smile to make it seem she isn't so worried.
"I'll just go home then. Uuuh see you at school then." Jack walked back home, embarrassed that he got caught by his friend, Dolly. Then, all of a sudden Jack gets a feeling the note that Dolly gave him had more to say. Then Jack thought well I will see her at school so we'll have to see what happens tomorrow. Then walks along and happily thinks about the next day.
