May have spelling errors! I haven't fixed anything yet! Bare with me!
"El? Where are you headed?" My mother stops me from exiting out the door.
"I'm gunna go meet up with Jamie." I tell her.
"When will you be back?"
Ugh. I'm already 15 minutes late and she's only making me later by questioning me right now.
"I don't know mom. I'll probably only be gone few hours. We're just going to get coffee and have a chat sense I haven't seen her sense we left to aunt Mary's." I say and roll my eyes at the inconvenient time she needs to know everything about my life.
"Okay, Sweetie. Try and be home before 6:00." She sits on the couch in the living area with a cup, of what I assume is coffee, in her hands.
She has a caffeine addiction. Always drinking it in all hours of the day. As do I. One of the very unpleasing things I had inherited from my mother. The worst part of our addiction, we like it black. No sugar. No milk. Just, black. It's far to sweet with anything in it. My motto, the bitter the better.
"Kay, mom. Bye." I say and shut the door.

By the time I arrive at the small coffee shop Jamie has picked out, I was 23 minutes late. I was so going to hear a mouth full about this.
When I walk in I easily spotted the mop of dark black waves across the room. Her back was to me so she doesn't know I came in yet.
She sat there aimlessly scrolling through her phone, slouching in her chair. I walk over and sit across from her but she doesn't even look up. She just continues to look at her electronic device instead of take notice in my presents.
"Jamie?" I ask and look at her expectantly.
No response. Is she really ignoring me? Real mature.
"Jamie! Dude, I'm sorry. My mother was-" I was cut off by a young, brunette male coming up to our table.
"Can I get you lady's anything?" He asks but was really only looking at Jamie who was stating up at him with admiration in her eyes and a bright smile curved on her lips.
"We were actually-"
"I'll have a Caramel Iced Mocha, please." Jamie interrupts me.
Okay?
"Anything for you?" He asks, after nodding his head at Jamie signaling he heard her order.
"Uh, just a coffee please. Black." I say and smile back him, trying to be polite.
His blue eyes shifted towards Jamie one last time before he walked back behind the counter where all the caffeine gets dazzled to change the taste of the actual product they're selling you.
Jamie's eyes followed him until he was out of sight.
"Uh, Jamie? Need a glass of water to go with that coffee?" I ask, snapping my fingers in front of her face.
Her eyes move to mine as she glares at me.
"Ohhhh, so that's why we came here. You like coffee boy over there!" I snicker at realization.
"Maybe. I might have told you that if you were here on time." she snaps.
I put my hands up in surrender. "Sorry!"
"You should be. But now that you are here, how was your aunts?"
"Good. She was thrilled to have someone to watch over Amy now and then so she could have a break. Her and my mom went out a lot." I said.
