You are thinking about what your foster mother did to you and your brother
"you look like you've seen a ghost" Amanda Rollins says snapping you out of your thoughts
"I was thinking about the father" you say but you weren't

"why would he do something like that" you reply

"anyway have you confirmed the nanny's alibi"

Flashback: you are standing up for your brother who is in trouble for something you did
"you bloody son of a bitch" your foster mother says as she thrusts the broken necklace in his chest winding him
"it was me I broke it trying to put it on" you say as you help your brother but you lie because you broke it on purpose to symbolize your hate for her. She grabs you by the hair and takes you to her room
"stay here" she snarls
"or else"
"Ok stupid" you utter under your breath. She leaves and a moment she returns with a knife
"You should thank me" she takes your arm and stabs it the blade misses the artery but the pain seers through your arm
"that was my favorite necklace" she draws the knife further down your arm
"I know that's why I broke it you dumb bitch" you say giving your foster mother her own medicine. You manage to get your arm free so you make a run for the kitchen and grab the phone to make a phone call.
It's been two minutes since Rollins talked to you and you are looking at the scar on your arm that your foster mother (if you could even call that monster your foster mother) gave you
"the nanny's alibi checks out" Dominick says making you roll down your sleeve to hide the scar
"ok Amanda said the father is a good suspect" you say
"you know I can still see the scar" he says noticing the end of the scar poking up from your sleeve
"oh ok anyway the father's name is James Stephens" you say changing the subject
"and I have his address"
"let's go then" Carisi says
Thirteen minutes later you and Carisi are at the outside the door of the father's house waiting for the father to return from what ever he was doing
"so what do you think James is doing" you ask
"I don't know but we don't have to wait long" he says as a car pulls into the drive way and the passengers get out
"excuse me are you James Stephens" you ask as you and Carisi show your badges
"yes I am what can I do for you" he replies
"Jessie you can go inside while I talk to the officers" the lady with James leaves
"James where were you yesterday" Carisi asks
"I was visiting my son while his nanny was visiting her sister" he replies
"do you mind if we look around" you ask but you think you already know the answer
"do you have a warrant" he asks
"we don't need one we have reasonable doubt" you say
"of what" he inquires a little bit nervous his pointer finger starts twitching
"that you raped and murdered your son" Carisi replies
"I am not letting you in without a warrant" he says hiding the fact that he did it
"sorry if we wasted your time" you say as you and Carisi leave
"He is hiding something" you say
"what makes you think that" Dominick replies as he pulls into his parking space
"just the way he was quick to ask for a warrant and the way his pointer finger twitched" you respond as you and Dominick get out of the car
"so you noticed it to?" he asks
"I'll ask Rafael for a warrant" you reply
"ok let me know when you get the warrant so we can go back" he says
"and you are hiding something too"
"I don't want to talk about it" you say wanting to leave the past alone
