it is the day after your coffee date with Dominick at you are at your desk typing something on your computer when you are interrupted by two voices
"so how was your day off?" Amanda asks as she and Carisi enter the bullpen
"it was good," you say glancing at Carisi
"anyway I think we have a new case," Carisi says as Olivia enters the bullpen as well
"we do there has been a report of abuse at the local school," Olivia announces
"and (Y/N) and Carisi you're with me we are going to talk to the victim,"

Ten minutes later and you, Olivia and Carisi have made it to the school and you are trying to talk to the student that was abused. You notice a scar similar to the one you have and your heart sinks
"Hey Lily you know that scar you have," you say as you start to roll your sleeve up
"I have one like it too,"
"ok, she'll hurt me if I tell anyone what actually happened," the girl replies looking at the scar on your arm thinking it looks familiar.
Your interview is interrupted by a woman who you recognise as your foster mother but luckily for you, she doesn't recognise you
"sorry I've come to pick up my daughter, " she says
"I'm not done talking to her yet," you say
"mum please may I speak to officer (Y/L/N) in private please," Lily pleads with her 'mum'
"no we should be going we don't want to take any more of your time," she says
As she leaves she is stopped by Dominick
"we need to talk to you as well,"
"no, I've really got to go," she says shuffling past Dominick
"remember Lily if you need to talk to me call this number," you say as you pass her a card with your number on it

thirty minutes later you, Olivia and Dominick are back at the precinct and you are tapping on the folder that contains your foster records and you can't stop thinking about the hag's latest victim. You stop tapping because Barba has come to talk to you about something
"Olivia told me this might be important for a current case," he says winking at you as he places the folder he has on your desk
"thank you so much," you say looking at the folder which contains your birth records and it is obvious why Barba winked as he handed you the file
"can someone help me, please?" you hear Lily's voice and she is desperate
"excuse me a second," you say as you get up to look for Lily and you find her with a black eye and other bruises
"Lily, what happened?" you help her to a seat
"well when my foster mum and I got home she attacked me with a baseball bat you've got to call child services or something," she says desperately
"and I'm not making it up"
"Look, Lily, I'll talk to my boss and we will go from there and it was good that you decided to run away," you say wishing you did
"Lily, what are you doing here?" Olivia asks as she walks out of her office
"I ran away because my foster mum attacked me with a baseball bat and I thought this was the best place," she says basically telling her what she told you
"have you called child service yet?" Olivia asks you
"no, I was just going to talk to you about that, shall I do it?" you say
Dominick enters
"Lily this is my partner Dominick Carisi and he will take care of you while I call child services," you say
"Hello Lily you'll need to go to the hospital just for a checkup I'll take you there ok," Carisi says
"and I'll let (Y/N) know where so she can tell child services so they can sort this out"
You hear the compassion in Carisi's voice and you can tell it will be fine
