After Michelle and Pietro had finished eating and cleaning up the kitchen, the latter mostly done by Pietro, the two had decided to meet again in a few hours to watch a movie.

Michelle stepped out of the shower, the thick, fluffy towel wrapped around her body, soaked hair dripping water down her back. She exited the bathroom quickly, flinging open the closet doors while drying herself as fast as she could.

After Michelle had worn her undergarments, she looked through the rack of clothes, finding a pair of black sweatpants. She slipped that on, along with an oversized white shirt.

Michelle flopped onto the bed, muscles suddenly aching from the exercise she had been doing earlier in the day. Slowly, she nestled her head on a pillow and hugged another close to her body.

The door clicked opened, and she looked up, seeing Peter standing there. His hand was on the handle, suddenly frozen in his spot as he stared at her. "MJ."

Michelle waved lazily, then moved her hand to pat the space in front of her. Peter blinked a few times, before shaking his head and closing the door behind him, walking over and taking a seat in front of where Michelle laid.

Peter put one hand on the bed and turned to Michelle. "So, how are you doing?"

"I'm tired and sore, but that's okay," Michelle mumbled, snuggling up against the pillow, "I shared an entire pot of macaroni and cheese with Pietro."

Peter's smile slipped at the mention of Pietro's name, but it was only for a short moment. "That's nice."

Peter fell silent, drumming his fingers against the bed, lips pressed into a thin line and forehead creased. From what Michelle could see, he was nervous.

Michelle sat up, crossing her legs. She tilted her head down to look at Peter, brow raised in confusion. "You look nervous, you hiding something?"

Peter chewed on his bottom lip, his fingers tugging on the cuff of his flannel. "I guess."

He rotated his body, facing Michelle and making eye contact. Their hands weren't touching, but they were close enough to suddenly make Michelle panic.

"Okay, so..." Peter drawled, pausing to clear his throat, "I'm so grateful that you're in my life. If it wasn't for you and Ned, I'm sure I would have remained in a weird state and never have moved on from... you know what.

"I would never have imagined you to be my good friend, but you are, and as weird as that might have sounded a while ago, I'm glad all this happened. Despite the actions I've taken that put you in harm's way, you've never blamed me, and you've just been awfully nice. I don't get it, you know? I never expected you, of all people, to be so-"

"Caring and sweet?" Michelle smirked, shaking her head, "You underestimate me, Parker."

"I did, and I'm sorry."

"Look, why do you always apologise?" Michelle said, scowling, "It pisses me off. You did nothing wrong, so there's nothing to be sorry about. Have some confidence, dude."

"Yeah, sorry-" Peter wasn't fast to stop himself from earning a glare from Michelle.

"Alright, I promise I won't say it unless the situation calls for it. But, I came here because I... actually need to tell you something, and I'm not sure I can keep it from you? So here goes."

Peter reached for Michelle's hand, and her eyes widened - right as the door to her room slammed open, Pietro standing in front of the two with an open bag of chips.

"How's it going, Peter?" Pietro asked, popping a chip into his mouth, "Michelle and I were going to watch a movie, want to join?"

Michelle sighed, rolling her eyes. "You idiot. Peter here was going to tell me something important, and you just had to come here, right at this exact moment, didn't you?"
