"Hurry Azur, we haven't got much time" yelled Semsabi as they sprinted across the opening in the forest. The noises of the fight were soon drowned by the sound of thousands of crickets along with the movement of Arzelias's pack.
"What are ye doin' back here? You caused quite the fuss." Said the first guard
"Yeh, you little insect, you have no place."
Semsabi was outraged at this and with lighting speed slashed the guard's face. "HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY AZUR LIKE THAT! NOW LISTEN UP YOU INCOMPETENT FOOLS! OUR PACK IS UNDER AN ATTACK, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE NEXT I SUGGEST YOU GET OFF YER ASSES AND HELP!"
Both guards were stunned. They stood for a second until her message finally got through their thick skulls.
"ATTACK, HUELIA'S PACK IS UNDER ATTACK!" Yelled one guard as he bolted straight into their camp. The other followed screaming "GET THE HUNTERS BEFORE THEY LEAVE, WE NEED TO COUNTER ATTACK! WARN QUAZIR'S PACK!"
Azur didn't even think about the other wolf packs, he just ran to the pack he knew best. Azur noticed that his mother was staring at him with teary eyes, happy eyes. Without saying a word Azur knew that she felt prouder than she had ever felt. They looked at each other until the might of Arzelias pack was released. Ten wolves, who clearly knew what they were doing, charged directly at Azur's pack, lead by none other than Arzelias. Lutani appeared at the entrance of the gates and ran up to Azur.
"For the love of the animal kingdom, are you ok? The news spread like wildfire!"
"I'm perfectly fine Lutani-" Azur was going to go on but her face reminded him of Vyrch.
"Azur?"
Semsabi understood Azur's pain, nuzzling the side of his face gently. "Azur has seen something that you nor him would want to know about, give him some time to think the whole thing over."
"Sure thing Miss Semsabi, Azur, take as long as you need"
Azur managed a weak thanks as he tried to stop thinking about Vyrch. Lutani invited them into her pack's camp. The two entered and looked around to see a few wolves talking amongst themselves.
They watched the fight from afar, they couldn't make out much but the movement was visible. As they stared at the battlefield Azur noticed another squad of wolves bolting towards the fight.
"Looks like Quazir's helping out for once, weird" Said Lutani. Azur watched on silently. Almost as soon as they saw Quazir's squad arrive the owls fled, flying a few metres left from where Azur stood. There were about fifteen owls that fled, one of them stayed a little longer to make sure they weren't being followed, then they yelled something out as soon as he knew they were listening.
"You all better watch yourselves! War may be closer than you think" The owl then turned mid-air towards the rest of the owls and they were off, beyond the tree's and presumably beyond the forest. Many of the wolves just stood in shock, many wondering what just happened. Lyracus, Heulia, Quazir and Arzelias began to speak together, beta's started to join the conversation.
Semsabi began shaking, Azur knew she was scared. Nobody really enjoyed war, even if they had trained their whole life just to be good at it.
"May I have your attention please?" Something about Quazir's voice told Azur that he wasn't a very happy wolf. He didn't look like one either. His eyes where the deepest shade of grey Azur had ever seen and his fur a jet black that didn't react at all to the wind.
"We ask that you remain calm and follow us, our location is now known and a movement is needed, any who oppose to the movement may you make that clear?" Said Quazir. Nobody replied.
"Good, We will warn the other packs, we will pay our respects to the deceased when we find new refuge." With that all the wolves got ready to leave, some feeling the heavy weight of depression, as the defiant facts of the dead hit them.
