XXVI : Fireflies

☙ Eunha's POV

"Eunha-yah!" Yerin unnie ran and hugged me as soon as I arrived the practice room. "Kyeopta~ You look extra cute today! Jinjja!"

I chuckled as I hug her back. "Gomawo, unnie." The other members walked towards us. They gave me questioning looks.

"What?" I asked.

Sinb touched the tip of my hair. "What's the deal with this new hairstyle, unnie?"

"It's suits her though~" Umji squealed. "I have never seen you with a bangs before, unnie."

I chuckled. "Thanks. I just thought that I needed a bangs for a change."

"Or to look more beautiful for Jungkook~" Sowon unnie teased. They all started pulling my hair gently while laughing. "That's why you were late. You hurriedly went out after dinner. You probably went to a salon." She added.

"Yah!" I pouted while my cheeks are blushing. "I-It's not really like that. Uhm, I just needed a new hairstyle. That's all."

Sowon unnie patted my head. "Fine, fine. If you say so. We believe you~" She said with a laugh. She clapped her hand and walked to the center of the room. "Okay, girls. Let's start our third routine for today so we could rest early~"

"Neh!" We all replied in union.

As I walk towards my first position, Yuju stopped me and whispered on my ear. "What's your plan for your birthday tomorrow, Eunha-yah?"

"Hmm.. maybe we'll have a small party. Just us girls and perhaps we could invite Bangtan. I don't my family can come though." I said without thinking that much, nodding.

"I mean, what's your plan with Jungkook alone? What kind of gift will he give you? You know.. he could give you what every female fans wanted." She grinned.

I blinked and looked at her. "What gift? You have any idea?"

"A child." She replied.

My forehead knotted. "A child?"

She leaned closer and wiggled her brows. "He could give you birthday se-"

I stopped her from saying it by covering her mouth with a hand and squealed. "Yeojelyi!"

Yuju mumbled on my hand, laughing. The other girls looked at us with a confused look.

"What's the matter?" Sowon unnie asked.

I released Yuju and waved my hands at the girls. "N-Nothing, unnie." I nervously replied while my face was as red as tomato.

They just shrugged and went to their positions while stretching their arms. They all looked tired for today.

Yuju giggled. "Excited, eh?"

I just rolled my eyes at her. "Shut up, Yuna. Sowon unnie will scold us or worse.. they might know what you just told me."

"Wae? What's wrong with that?" Yuju shrugged. "Aren't you two couples? That's normal to do it, I guess."

I hit her shoulders. "Yah!" I squealed with my face blushing. I looked around before whispering to her. "We don't do those things. We are just p-pretending, remember?"

She just smirked. "Ani. It doesn't look like that to me."

"Choi Yuna! Jung Eunbi!" Sowon unnie called our names and we looked at them. They are looking at us with pissed off look. "We'll be starting now!"

"Yah you two pabo unnies! Are you still going to stay there and talk while watching us do the routine?" Sinb complained. "I wanna rest early so please be in your positions now."

"Neh!" Both of us replied.

Before I could go to my position, Yuju whispered on me again. "I know you guys are just pretending so why don't you make use of that and enjoy the warmth of your bodies together?"

I didn't reply, instead I was a blushing Jung Eunbi all throughout the process.

It was already 10:45 in the evening when we returned to our dorms. We decided to eat in the nearest convenience store before going home. Everyone was exhausted and immediately went to sleep after taking a shower.

I was alone in the living room while watching a anime movie entitled 'Into the forest of the firefly lights.' It was just a very short film. After finishing it, I decided to go to the rooftop and wait 'til I get sleepy.

Sowon unnie saw me while I open the main door.

"Where are you going, Eunha-yah?" She asked.

I pointed my finger upward and smiled. "Rooftop, unnie. I'm not yet sleepy so I decided to do stargazing before going to bed."

She nodded. "Oh~ Just don't stay there for too long, okay? It's already late."

"Neh~" I replied while making my way out.

When I reached the rooftop, I sat on a bench near the edge. It wasn't dark at all since the lights are on. Unlike the time he surprised me. It was awfully dark and creepy.

But it was a beautiful night.

I smiled at the thought and looked up. The stars were out and shining but not clear enough and only a few of them can be seen since the city lights are so bright. They look like fireflies in the sky. Suddenly, the scenes from Into The Forest of Firefly Lights flashed in my mind.

The boy's name was Gin and the girl was Hotaru. They can't touch each other's hand since Gin's body is bound by a spell and magic that made him unable to touch a human or else he'll disappear.

They both fell in love as years passed by but kept it a secret. Hotaru was already in highschool while Gin didn't he changed at all. He asked Hotaru if she wants to go the festival held by the spirits. They had fun and when it was time already time for her to go home, an unfortunate thing happened.

Gin accidentally held a human child's hand, thinking it was a ghost. Before he would disappear forever, she hugged him. Saying that they both love each other, but isn't it too late for them?

A tear fell from my eye.

What if something like happen to me?

I thought the man I will love, I thought about Jungkook all of a sudden.

What if I fell in love with him unconsciously? What if... I finally realized it and it was already too late for me to say it?

The heart-to-heart talking with myself was interrupted when I felt my phone vibrated multiple times. I opened it and sweet messages flooded my inbox. They were birthday greetings from my members but one particular messaged caught my eye. Sowon unnie's second message.

I replied with an okay sticker and pouted.

What is she planning? A suprise birthday cake here?

I chuckled while replying to the other members' messages.
