The Princess and The Doctor Chapter 3
Send In The Companions

While Clarabelle goes to bring her friends to meet Celestia and the Doctor, the two got straight to work. They settle jointly to meet the pair at a nice restaurant run by a friend of Celestia's that was open late on this Hearths Warming Eve. The business was named The Loft, a casual family style restaurant based high in the recently erected Friendship Plaza building. The Loft offers a splendid bird's eye view of the city, a varied menu for different tastes, and all thar at affordable dining costs. It was run by a griffon, a former member of the Griffon Kingdom's diplomacy corps prior to Luna's return, who befriended Celestia over many a meeting over kingdom politics. He had recently retired and established his own business in Manehatten, and this was the first time Celestia paid a visit since being his guest at opening day.

If The Doctor was concerned from meeting Clarabelle that he was about to meet more old friends reimagined. His fears turned into confirmation upon meeting Celestia's griffon friend. The Doctor frowned, the resemblance even as a griffon uncanny, "I take it your NOT Lefbridge Stuart, yes?"

"Well... Yes but..." he fidgeted, "High Bridge Stalwart actually. Do I know you?"

"No no no. We never met."

As they set up the Doctor's mood became even more morose and depressed than it was at the start. "What's wrong Doctor? Sorry but the main room is booked solid so it was last minute convenience he got us this private table overlooking Manehatten..." Celestia offer an apology, to which he waves off her concerns with a "No no its fine. Its just... It brings up memories. Good memories I assure you but-- never mind."

As they take their places the obvious question comes to the Doctor's mind. "Zebra?"

"It was clear just having you walk around in your normal form would pose too many questions, so I layered in a potion that changes how other creatures perceive you. Most normal ponies only see you as a Zebra with Averian trait of walking upright... An admittedly contradictory thing after I blurted your relation to Zecora BUT since part of the spell makes you easily forgettable whatever convenient lie I say will be easily forgotten the minute we leave a Pony's sight."

"That seems rather convenient." The Doctor retorts, staring Celestia down, "Its almost as if you planned for situations like this."

Celestia smiles "Not quite like this BUT better safe than bucked. Filly Guide wisdom."

"Well then I guess your bucked because your magic doesn't work on me."

Celestia frowns, their attention now drawn to the newly arrived Clarabelle watching them from the private dining room's entrance. "How long have you been..."

"Just arrived, Princess Celestia, but I didn't need to hear that to know that your friend isn't what you claim he is."

Before Celestia could stammer a query The Doctor steps forward, grinning as he addresses Clara. "Well of course your not easily fooled. Nothing gets past the Impossible Girl... I mean Pony... Mare."

"Flattery, I suspect, gets you places Doctor. Just don't push your luck with me." And with that Clara takes her seat next to the Doctor. "Well now that the formalities are out of the way..."

The sound of bickering and quarreling catches their attention, growing louder and louder... But not from the door but instead the city outside the open air terrace the table is set on.

Clara groans, "...its time to meet the quarreling couple. Avery Pondskipper and Roaring Window..."

"Will Helm!" the familiar voice corrects, the two standing before them staring first intently, the shock as realization set in. "Princess Celestia??" Avery rasps, her feathers blushing red at the sight, "Belle didn't say YOU were going to be... Handling our Friendship... Problem."
