"What do you mean yes and no? Eric asked confused
"Well it was an older man but I didn't have sex with him," I said quietly
"Okay, then tell her that."
"It's not that simple," I stated pushing myself up off the bench
Fiddling with my fingers I moved back and forth just thinking when Eric asked "What's wrong?
I haven't...... I turned feeling myself about to cry. I tried holding it in feeling my face flush with heat. Eric stood up and turned me around and held my hands. "Ella, what happened?
"I haven't told anyone." I stopped myself thinking about if I was really going to tell him.
"Ella tell me." "I obviously it isn't good, you need to talk to me."
"Okay." I took a deep breath
Eric lead me back to the bench and continued to hold my hands. His hands were soft and for some reason kept me calm even tho I wanted to freak out.
"Okay, I'm ready when you are," he said with a smile
"Where should I start? I asked shyly
"The very beginning is a good start."
"Yeah, yeah okay." I exhaled heavily
"So back in 7th grade I had this friend the only friend I had after you. Her name was Sofia and I was always spending the night at her house. One summer night I had been staying the night at her house for a couple days and I fell asleep on the couch. Her mom usually went to be early as well since she had smaller kids she would have to wake up early to take care of them. So that one night when I fell asleep on the couch her husband was out drinking. When he came home it was very late and I still was sleeping on the couch and he umm." My voicing break towards the end
"Ella, um did he hurt you? he asked with mixed emotions in his voice
"Yeah." I said balling "He really did."
Without another word, Eric pulled me in wrapping his arms around me tightly. I balled into his chest while thinking to myself "stop crying, stop it. Ella get a hold of yourself, he's only acting like he cares to make me not feel stupid for opening up." I began calming down but still was breathing heavily. Still tightly wrapped in Eric's arms I wiped my eye. We sat like that for a moment until he loosened his grip and I sat up. Eric reached for my check rubbing a tear away.
"Why are you doing this? I mumbled
"Doing what? He asked in a sweet voice
"Acting like you care," I stated
"I'm not acting, I do care." "I care about you." He stated sweetly
"Really? I asked a little stunned
"Yes really." He said smiling
He stood up pulling me up with him. "Come on let's get you home, you should get some rest."
We sat in the car silent as we drove to my street. When we reached my house Eric broke the silence with unbuckling his seat belt.
"Ella, this was a great day." "I finally told you and you finally told someone, that was strong of you." He said lifting my chin up.
I shyly smiled I was still upset a little but also happy that I told him and he was supportive. He didn't think It was my fault or that I was disgusting. I let my thoughts fade as I opened my door and Eric walked me to my door. When we reached the door I pulled Eric into a tight hug. The smell of his cologne and the warmth of he body was like magic. I pulled away with a shy smile. We didn't speak another word until Eric was turning to leave.
"Bye Princess."
I looked back with a huge smile and ran right in front of Eric. Smiling I wrapped my arms around Eric's neck and pulled him close. I felt him lift me up to his level, having me step on my tiptoes. While we kissed it felt like hours but ended in moments. I turned with out a second to spare.
"Bye Prince."
