Troye awakes to the sound of his phone ringing. He answers it, not bothering to see who it is.
"Hello?" He says sleepily.
"Hey, it's Jacob."
"Jacob, why are you calling me so early in the morning?" Troye asks, half asleep.
"Troye, it's 1 o'clock in the afternoon." Jacob giggles.
"What?!" Troye says, suddenly awake, "I've missed half the day already?!"
Jacob laughs. "I was calling to ask if you want to hang out today, but if you just wanna sleep, that's okay I'll leave you be."
"No!" Troye says, a bit too loudly. He coughs. "Um, I-I mean no, that's okay we can hangout. Do you wanna come over?"
"Be there in 10, bye." He hangs up, smiling to himself.
Troye smiles too. He stretches and gets out of bed. He has a quick shower and gets into some comfy clothes. He goes downstairs, says good morning to his mum and makes some vegemite toast. Shortly after there's a knock on the door. "Come in!" Troye calls from the kitchen.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"So I was wondering if you wanna go out today? I haven't been here in town for so long." Jacob asks.
"Sure let's go. Be back later, Mum." Troye says.
"Have fun." Laurelle says happily.

Troye and Jacob choose to go get some ice cream. They both decide on choc-mint. They then go for a walk through the park, sneaking side glances at each other when the other wasn't looking. They find a shady spot under the tree and sit down, enjoying their ice cream. They say in silence, not awkward silence, but peaceful silence.
"I think I'm going to come out to my Mum." Jacob says out of the blue.
Troye almost chokes on his ice cream. "Wh- what?"
"If she really loves me, like she tells me, then she'll accept me. If she doesn't then fuck her." He says proudly.
"Well I'm proud of you, Jake." Troye says placing his hand on Jacob's. "Just remember that I'm here for you. Always."
Jacob looks up, locking eyes with Troye. "Thanks, Tro. I can always count on you."
They sit there staring into each other's eyes. Jacob leans in. They kiss softly. Troye pulls away, shocked, but not dissatisfied.
"I'm sorry." Jacob says quickly. "I-I shouldn't have done that. What have I done? I've ruined everyth-"
Troye kisses him. Slowly at first, then they start to pick up speed. All their worries disappearing. They pull away slowly. Laughing a bit.
"Come on." Troye smiles. "Let's go back to my house."
*************************
They walk back to Troye's hand in hand. Smiling giddily to themselves. They get to the door and detach their hands. Maybe the shouldn't tell Troye's Mum just yet. They walk inside, say hello to Laurelle and head upstairs.
As they get to Troye's room, Troye plonks down on the bed. He stares up at the ceiling then taps beside him, inviting Jacob to join him. Jacob smiles and lays himself next to Troye.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Troye says, turning his head to look at Jacob.
Jacob smiles. "Well, lets just say I've been wanting to do that for a looooong time."
"Really?" Troye blushes.
"Yeah, well I've always had these feelings, I guess. But I've just started to realise recently, especially when I was in England, that I really need you and I want you in my life, always. But in a more than friend way."
"Yeah same." Troye says. "I also realised when I was extremely jealous when you mentioned you making out with another guy."
Jacob laughed. "Is that so?" Jacob jumped on Troye. "Well I guess I'm going to have to make up for that." He pecked Troye's lips.
"Is that all I get?" Troye asked.
"Do you want more?" Jacob says.
Troye nods. Jacob kisses his lips hard. Troye opens his mouth, inviting Jacob's tongue inside. Troye moans.
They are too caught up in what they're doing that they don't hear the footsteps coming up the stairs. "Hey boys." Laurelle says, walking along the hallway. "Would you like some... oh." She's stands at Troye's door, obviously embarrassed as what she has walked in on.
"Mum!" Troye shouts as him and Jacob pull apart.
"Oh.. Um... Er... I'm extremely sorry."
Troye and Jacob exchange worried glances. There's an awkward silence until Laurelle smiles widely at them.
"Mum, why are you looking at us like that. You look like you've just won the lottery."
Her smile somehow gets even bigger. "I'm just so happy that you two have finally come to your senses and gotten together!"
"Wait, you're not surprised?" Jacob asks.
"Surprised? I've been shipping you two since you were fourteen years old!"
"Oh my god!" Troye says, shaking his head. He nestled his head into Jacob's chest, embarrassed by his Mum's cringy reaction.
Jacob just laughs. "Well I'm glad you're happy about it, because my mum won't be."
"You're going to come out to her?" Laurelle asks.
"Yep. I was thinking maybe tomorrow." He says.
"Jacob, that's wonderful!" Laurelle says happily.
"Thank you. Speaking of Mum I better be getting home to her."
"Do you have to?" Troye says with a pout on his lips.
"Yes I do." Jacob pecks Troye's lips and gets up off the bed. "I'll see tomorrow, I'll need some moral support if I'm going to come out to my mum."
"Of course. Text me later?" Troye says.
"Of course. Goodbye Laurelle."

"Thanks for accepting this, Mum." Troye says.
"It's just good to see you two so happy."
