I stormed out of the elevator with Seungmin hot on my heels, Felix's radio in one hand and my 22 caliber in the other. The gunfire had stopped just before we had left the basement, which I took as a good sign. Now, my unit members stood in a circle around the CEO, who was on his knees, with their guns pointed at his head. Chan looked over at us, noting that Felix wasn't with us.
"The gunshot..." He started.
"He missed. There was no blood in the room." I said shortly, my anger bubbling.
"We left him for you, Boss." Hyunjin announced, scowling down at the middle aged man infront of him. I broke the circle and dragged him to his feet.
"Y/n, we meet again." The man sneered as I glared at him.
"Briefly." I told him, holding my gun to his head. "You have thirty seconds to give the names of every person you left here when you went to your little tea party."
He chuckled."Such a brave little girlie... You came back, did you lose someone?" he cackled evily. I placed a little pressure on the trigger.
"Time is ticking, asshole." I growled.
"Now now child, if you shoot me now you'll never get those names... and you want your missing piece back don't you?" He tried to seem calm but Woojin saw right through him.
"Y/n he doesn't know anything. We can ID the dead bodies and find whoever took Felix through process of elimination." Woojin said. I nodded, and the CEO's eyes widened.
"You can't kill me! You don't have the guts. girl."
"Don't bet on it." I glared and pulled the trigger.
The shot rung in my head, and brain matter shot out the other side of his skull. I watched his body shudder and grow limp, before it fell like a stone.
"Bastard." I muttered.
"Everyone okay?" Chan asked. Forunately the only imjury was Hyunjin's busted lip, which he proudly claimed was from getting into a fist fight whilst 'protecting Jisung'.
We headed back to the van and took off our kit, dumping it in the back. Instead of joining the rest, I sat beside Seungmin in the front passenger seat while he drove."Minnie?"
He hummed in response as we drove away.
"Can you fix Lix's radio so we can check if he left any clues for us?" I asked quietly. He sensed that all my anger had gone, and was replaced by a different emotion.
"Of course." He took one hand off the steering wheel and placed at on my knee, taking his eyes of the road for a moment. "We'll find him, okay? I promise."
I nodded and pulled my phone out to text the Chief. To : Chief That We Do Way Too Much For
Checked the building. Felix is gone, CEO is dead.
We're on our way to the station with the case. You'd better have our money ready.▄︻̷̿┻̿═━一
Minho handed the breifcase over to the Chief as the rest of us stood around his desk. The station was dark, most of the officers having gone home.
The Chief opened the case and surveyed the contense.
"Nice work." He commended, handing each of us a bulky envelope. We checked the amount of cash inside."Where's Felix's share?" I asked coldly. "He'll want it when he gets back."
The Chief looked at me for a moment, before nodding and handing me another envelope.
"You're dismissed." The Chief told us, and the boys filtered out of the room. I was stopped before I could follow. He looked at me somewhat sadly and placed a hand on my shoulder."Don't keep your hopes too high, kiddo." he said softly. I looked at the ground.
"I have to try." I whispered. He nodded.
"I'll have your back kid, stay safe." he smiled. I chuckled.
"Safety isn't exactly in the Mafia job description." I said, and he waved me out of his office.
I joined the others in the van, and Seungmin drove us home. I didn't say much, instead focusing on my phone.

I woke up in Chan's arms as he carried me into the house. Apparently I'd fallen asleep on his shoulder during the short ride home.
"Channie, I can walk." I yawned. He smiled.
"I know."
He refused to put me down.
We passed the livingroom, where Jeongin sat on the couch watching videos on his laptop."Yah, bedtime." I called from Chan's arms as I was carried up the stairs.
"Okay. Night mum." Jeongin replied, sleepily.
Chan put me down outside my room and scratched the back of his neck.
"Uh..I know that Felix usually stays with you so uh.. If you can't sleep without someone I'm just across the hall." he said, avoiding making eye contact. I smiled.
"Thank you. Goodnight Channie."
I tossed and turned for a little while. My bed felt too big without Felix beside me. I tried not to think about it, but I still couldn't sleep.
I sighed and left my room, heading to the closest door. It creaked open when I pushed it lightly."Chan?"
In the dark I saw his head pop out from underneath his covers.
He didn't say anything, but lifted the duvet so I could join him, wrapped one arm around me and dozed off.
I felt kind of bad, but me and Felix weren't official...and at least the bed felt a little smaller.
