The vent system was dusty. Chan pointed out fresh drag marks in the dust on the bottom of the vent.
"They knocked him out again." I muttered. We followed the vent system on our hands and knees until Hyunjin stopped suddenly, causing me to bump into his ass.
"Damnit Hyunjin."
"At least take me out for dinner first, damn girl."
"I'll take you out." I said, miming punching him in the face.
He pushed the vent grate infront of him and it fell with a clatter, and he pushed himself out the opening. There was a loud thud, and I looked out to find Hyunjin sprawled on the floor."It's higher than I expected."

Half an hour later, after Seungmin had confirmed that nothing was seen on the camera footage, Chan, Hyunjin and I met with him, Changbin and Jisung in the staff room. They handed us our vests and guns, and we suited up at the entrance of the tunnel.
"What's on the other side?" Changbin asked. I looked at Hyunjin, who shrugged.
"Plans didn't extend that far." He said simply. I pulled a flashlight out and shone it down the tunnel. It seemed to go on for a while.
"Lets go then." I said. Chan stood beside me and we walked in together. The tunnel was surprisingly freezing, and the bottom was lined with mud. The light picked up more drag marks on the ground.
We walked for a good five minutes before the tunnel began to curve to the right, and suddenly the flashlight started to dim."Nonono-" I pleaded, but it cut out. "Crap."
"It's okay.. it isn't that dark." Chan said reassuringly beside me. I felt a hand slip into mine, and assumed it was his. I held it to calm myself.
We made our way down the tunnel, following the drag marks that where just visible in the small amount of light, coming from god knows where.
About two minutes more of walking in the dark, and the tunnel began to lighten. I hesitantly let go of Chan's hand and gripped my pistol as an opening came into view. We approached cautiously. It opened out into a warehouse. It was old and dusty, and very nearly empty, except for a large cage holding a crumpled form. I noticed the black vest immeadiately, and ran towards it.
"Lixy!" I gasped. He was semi concious, and had multiple injuries to his face and torso, including a cut lip and a gash on his cheek bone.
"Y/n..." he mumbled. He seemed to be fading out of conciousness at this point, as the other members surrouned us protectively. I held Felix's hand through the bars.
"It's gonna be okay, we're gonna get you out alright? Stay with me baby." I said hurriedly, trying to find the opening to the cage, but it had been welded around him.
"Baby." He repeated, smirking a little. I was panicking a little too much to scold him.
"Guys the cage has been welded arounf him, we need to-"
An unfamiliar voice cut me off, and we looked towards the rafters above us.
"I see you found your little boyfriend."
Suddenly they were surrounding us, and I held Felix's hand tightly while holding my gun in the other. There must've been about twenty of them, all on a platform above us. We were severely outnumbered.
"Don't start anything." I muttered to my team. They nodded. The man that spoke first continued to talk, and I took the opportunity to hide behind Chan and pull my phone out.
To : Chief Jinyoung-ssi
Track my location, we've found Felix. Need backup ASAP.I prayed he'd respond soon.
Luck was on my side. My phone vibrated at my side. From : Chief Jinyoung-ssi
Sending back up. Hold tight kidI gave a sigh of relief, and came out from behind Chan, leaving Felix temporarily to stand infront of my unit. I calmed my breathing and looked the man speaking, while watching his friends for any sign that they might start shooting.
"So yeah, long story short, we're gonna kill you all." The speaker grinned like a maniac and pulled a gun from his belt. We readied oursleves.
The grinning man pointed his gun at me, then Chan, then Seungmin, as if trying to figure out who to shoot first. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but I couldn't communicate it to my team. My eyes flickered sideways. There was a tall wooden board that would shelter Felix's prison from stray bullets just to my left. I turned my attention back to the enemy. They were all grinning then, and some started to place pressure on triggers.Breath
Jinyoung, hurry.
I can't take it.
I lunged for the board and dragged it infront of the cage, as bullets began to rain down on us. We spread out to make ourselves a harder target and returned fire.
In the beginning, it seemed okay. We hadn't lost anyone in my unit, and bodies of the enemy side littered the ground.
We continued firing, and I managed to find the ladder to the overhead platform. I ran for it, silently willing my team to cover me.
Chan saw me and took out two guys that had also noticed.
I began to climb, aiming to take out their leader, who was now only a few steps above me on the platform.
I readied my gun... and slipped.
The stray bullet hit him in the leg and he howled in pain. I took his distraction as an opportunity, and aimed at his head. He noticed, and pushed me backwards as I pulled the trigger. It hit him in the head and he fell. The rest seemed to go in slow motion.Falling off the platform, backwards.
"Y/n!!" Chan's voice rang out.
I hit the floor with a sickening thud. It knocked the wind out of my lungs, and my vision started to grow hazy.
Suddenly the door of the warehouse flew open, and seven heavily armed policemen charged in.
I recognised Jinyoung immeadiately. By his side was the Thai boy that he had identified as 'BamBam'. I didn't know the others by name, but it didn't matter. My vision went dark.
Look after my team.
