Jonah stood in line, looking at his phone, waiting for her to text him back. He felt stupid. He was in a pretty famous band, who recently had been doing a lot of famous things, but now here he was, waiting for a girl to text him back. He was growing the smallest, mouse sized, bread crumb crush on her. He enjoyed talking to her; she was different, fresh, sarcastic, funny, he liked how funny she was.

He moved forwards as someone had paid for their order, he was almost next, there was now only one guy in front of him, which was a lot better than when he first got in the line. He felt bad, there was only two girls working the front of the store during one of their busiest hours.

"Next" the girl called, making Jonah snap his head up from his phone, placing it in his back pocket as he stepped up, looking at the cashier. Brown hair, sorta tall, her Starbucks hat blocking most of her face.

"What can I get for you?"she asked, not looking up as her fingers danced on the screen, waiting for the words to spill out of his mouth.

"Just a regular coffee, black please" his use of the word please made the cashier smile, he sensed she didn't get a lot of manners here. Though he had his fair share of fast food/cafe jobs, Starbucks was the last place he'd work, customers had been rude to him many times and he didn't even work there. He couldn't image how it was for them.

"Name for the cup?"

"Jonah" when the words left his mouth, the cashier snapped her head up and in one quick moment his brown eyes met her shocked ones. His eyes trailing to her name tag that said "Ella(:"

"So this is why I didn't get a text back" he smirked, leaving her dumbfounded as she held the large cup in one hand and the marker in the other.

"Um, I, h-hi" she shuddered, nervous as she could possibly be.

"Hey! Could you hurry up!" The guy behind Jonah shouted, golfing ruining the mood.

"That will be 4.50" she said with a smile, doing everything she could to keep her cool.

Ellie had never expected to meet him, let alone make his coffee. But now here he was, looking good as hell, ordering the exact same thing she'd order.

Jonah pulled out his phone and tapped it against the debit machine, not even for a second breaking the eye contact with her. She had beautiful eyes.

"hurry the fuck up!" The guy behind them yelled.

"I'll text you later" she said, a frown placing on her lips from the man behind Jonah. That made Jonah angry, knowing that someone was causing her to frown.

"Bye Ellie" he said it so sweetly it pulled on her heart strings, instantly making her smile as she watched him walk away.

That was the day he met the love of his life, accidentally, not planned and the most real you could ever meet a person, he just didn't know it yet.
