I watched from my perch as the general and other snakes hypnotized the villagers and I smiled. Lloyd kept his promise, they would not be harmed.I turned away after catching Lloyd's eye,and started to pack more neat that what I did before.
I didn't realized how much time had past until,"Hey,Lil,let's go."I jumped when I heard Nya's voice.I looked around and realized the snakes were gone....and I was surrounded by the ninja. "Shit."Was all that came out of my mouth.I was blank. This wasn't good, not good at all."Shit."I said again.A little louder this time.
"Lil?"Nya placed her hand on my shoulder as I backed up."Nope."I simply said.I looked around and blurted out."I have to go after him. He's gonna kill himself."I looked at Nya apologetically. She met my eyes and I spilled everything to her in my head. She nodded slightly and put on a fake smile.
"Well it was good to catch up Lil but your right, that little brother of yours is gonna end up falling down the mountain if you don't stop him from playing."I grinned at her quick thinking and the use of my nickname,Lil."Yep,see you soon Nya!"I gripped her in a death hugand muttered a "thanks".Pulling away I shouldered my bag and saluted the ninja, climbing down carefully so they don't suspect anything.
Then I took off catching some conversation on the wind."Who was she sis?"Kai asked Nya."Oh just someone I met on the trip here. She and her little brother live here, have since they were both born pretty cool huh?"I grinned at her flawless lie."Classic Nya. Always having a plan."I muttered to myself as I out my phone to play some music as I caught up to them.
I hummed to the song, finding myself think of Lloyd.Where are these feelings coming from! He's ten.Ten.Seriously.Well,I'm immortal so it's not totally bad....ugh no.I can't like him.I will not like him.I refuse to like him.
But he's cute.Pretty green eyes, adorable face, silky blond hair....shut up me.I huffed in annoyance.Still jogging to catch up with them.I guess I do like Lloyd, but it doesn't mean I'll be happy about it.
I groaned and stopped.I was getting nowhere arguing with myself.I might as well just accept the fact that I like him and get over my stubbornness.I plopped down and looked at the sun. Maybe three hours from sunset?I'll just sit here until the song's over and then I'll keep running.
'Or you could fly.'A voice in my head suggested but I shook it off.I haven't flown in years,my wings are gonna be so sore.I shrugged it couldn't hurt to try,I mean the worst I could get is a sprang.'But what if your seen?'My mind argued weakly.I sighed and frowned to myself. It is right I mean if I'm seen...but if I'm not.
I shifted and clicked my cloak off, exposing myself.I shivered at the frigid wind but concentrated on my back.I felt them way me down and I opened my eyes in glee, spreading them out.The were giant black/deep purple angel wings that stretched many arm lengths across.I folded them again and looked down. The tips rested comfortably on the ground, when I walked they drew trails in the snow.
I left my phone on a rock and rocketed upward, when I was so high there was barely any air I free fell.I laughed out of sheer delight and adrenaline as I plummeted towards the ground, the winds whipping my hair right and left across my face. The wind slipped through my feathered wings, making me shiver slightly.
When I was about to hit the ground I opened them, gliding across the mountain top.I stuck out my hand, drawing trails in the snow and flicking some off the side.I flapped them slightly, causing me to go up.Hovering in mid-air,I could see for miles and miles.
"Wow."The sunset was pure red.It faded off into hot pink, orange, yellow, light pink and indigo. Those colors soon gave way to a dusty blue which was quickly darkening into a navy color, soon to be black. The sun was slowly sinking behind the mountain range in front of me,at the end of the day it was a fiery red.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed this moment of peace in a world that has so many problems, choosing to ignore the many that follow me around like lost puppies in need of a mother. The slight wind made my hair flow around me like I was in water, the last few rays of sun kissing my face as I floated back down to my bag.
"Worth it."I whispered to myself as my feet touched down on the soft snow at last and my wings folded inward, curling against my back.I willed them to disappear, already missing their familiar weight and warmth.Grabbing my cloak I slid it on again, enjoying the last breeze before flipping up the hood.
I snagged my phone and turned off the music,(If it isn't done already turn it off)grabbed my bag and continued to sprint across the snow, planning top only stop when the moon was at it's highest peak."I'm coming Lloyd, please don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."My voice was lost by the wind as my silent prayer was made verbal.
(3rd person POV)
Lloyd was furious, the ninja had messed up his plan again! They're so annoying, why can't they just leave him to do his thing? To make matters worse his "guardian" as she told him to call her was gone,MIA.The last he saw of her she was on the rooftop of a building in the village and when they retreated she hadn't come with them.
"Stupid ninja."He muttered and kicked a rock, flashing him back to when they first discovered the Hypnobrai. She had been chastising him for looking for a tomb, and yet she followed him in and even seemed to enjoy it there. But why?He had a feeling that she was doing this because she cared, not because she was forced to or was asked too. But,again, why?
He found himself trying to recount everything about his "guardian" that he could. She had white skin,he could see her mouth, but that was all because of her hood.It was a she because she had told him so,obviously she didn't want to be mistaken for a boy or a creature or something. She had an amazing singing voice,a really really good singing voice.
He wanted to ask her to sing for them again sometime but he was honestly embarrassed to. She was wise, smart, sarcastic, pretty funny when she wanted to be,brave, but guarded.I mean, she wouldn't even tell him her name?!He found that pretty weird, but he never had female attention before besides his mom,and that was a very very long time ago.
So he wasn't really sure how to react to most of her motherly scoldings, affectionate gestures, playful prodding, etc. He usually found himself, messing around with her back or blushing. He kicked another rock, ugh why couldn't anything be simple?
"I'm coming Lloyd, please don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."A voice whispered on the wind that was blowing. He straightened up and could have sworn it was in his guardians voice.Shaking his head he decided it was a trick of the wind, but couldn't shake that it was her telling him that she was coming.
HEEEEYYY how was that? I wanted to tell how Lloyd was feeling about his "guardian" and how much he really doesn't know about her.I want some feed back plz,so comment and tell me what you think!I will probably start another fanfiction after the 6th chapter of this one, this time in the Lord of the Rings world starting in the Fellowship Of The Ring.Be on the look out for that one and remember to COMMENT.Love you guys!!!💙💙
