Hermione and Ginny stopped suddenly. They heard whispers of students joining the mob of students rushing through the hallways until they were alone with their professor.
Ginny turned around slowly to face McGonagall. "Yes professor?"
"Miss Granger." Ignoring Ginny's kiss ass response.
Hermione turned slowly as well.
"Correct me if I am wrong but I do believe that you are in a relationship with Ronald Weasley. Ginny's brother."
"Umm yes I am." "Why is that relevant to the current situation?"
"Well then why on earth were you starring at Ginny Weasley throughout my entire class?" "If you and Miss Weasley are together I completely support you but just so long as you continue to pay attention in my class Hermione." "If you continue to be unfocused and irresponsible during my class I will have no choice but to report your and Ginny's relationship to the headmaster." "Do you understand me?"
Hermione nodded. If McGonagall told Dumbledore he would blab it to the whole school. That bloody jerk.
"Since this is your first offense but since I believe you need to learn you lesson you and Miss Weasley will spend an hour tomorrow in detention." Hermione looked as though she might burst into tears at any moment." "You are excused Miss Granger. And you as well Miss Weasley."
"Just don't let it happened again."
