Abbey POV

I don't know what this letter is all about. I hope its not bad news for Briar. I don't think that our family can deal with anymore disappointment or pain.

Elliot POV

I know that Briar has been offered a job as an actor in Toronto, I read her mail earlier. I don't mind it if she leaves. I don't think it will effect me that much. In fact, if Briar takes the job, it will leave me free to do whatever I want with whoever I want. I don't love Briar, but I do love Abbey. Briar doesn't know that though, and neither does Abbey.

I hope she goes to Toronto.

Briar POV

I can't believe I have to choose between my family and my dream, between my future and my past. This is an impossible decision to make.

"What is it, Bri?" Abbey asks me.

"I've been offered and acting job in The next Step." I tell her.

"That's amazing! Congratulation! I remember when we watched the first season of that show, we thought it was the best thing ever." Abbey congratulates me.

"Hmm." I murmur.

"Is something wrong?" Abbey asks, confused.

"I would have to move to Toronto, Canada. How can I leave you all?" I explain.

"Bri, you have to take this job. This is your dream, acting, dancing and modelling! This is what you've always wanted to do. We will always be with you, in your heart." Elliot cuts in.

"Elliot is right, Bri. We'll still love you, and you'll still love us. Plus, we can always visit one another." Abbey agrees.

"Dad?" I ask, looking at my father.

"Abbey and, for once, Elliot are right. You have to think of your future, not your past. We have lost so much lately, this is the time to turn that around. Your mother would want you to go, as well." He tells me.

"Thank you." I thank them all.

"So ... you're going?" Abbey asks me.

"I'm still thinking about it, but lets go to he beach now." I say.

We go to the beach and have more fun than I have had in the last year. I feel happy again. This just makes the thought of leaving, even more hard.
