I saw her one late summer afternoon. I was walking to the school office after a hard volleyball practice. My mom worked in the school office which was super embarrassing but not unbearable. I walked through the school to get to the office and tried to walk through the door. I picked my head up just in time to narrowly avoid running into somebody. A girl with blonde hair and dull blue eyes was standing in the doorway I needed to get in so I just sat down in the chair by the door. She looked at me with disgust, probably because I was sweaty and gross. She looked like she was expecting me to talk but I really didn't feel like talking to anyone, let alone a stranger. So I let her go. I learned from my mom that she was the daughter of one of the teachers. I had sympathy for her because I had a parent working at the school like she did. Sympathy but no reason to talk to her. That was the first time our paths crossed. Little did I know this girl with blonde hair would change my life.
