I visited my old school a couple times to see my old friends. I saw her sometimes. We talked but it was never enough. I missed her a lot. I brought pizza over to her house just like I promised I would. I took her to see The Fault In Our Stars. When I left, I made a series of promises to her. I wrote them in her yearbook so she wouldn't forget. I would 1. bring her pizza, 2. watch The Fault In Our Stars with her, 3. always keep in touch with her, 4. come to her graduation, and 5. take her on a trip around the world when I became a famous soccer player. I promised myself I wouldn't forget. I didn't.

---------A Few Years Later--------

I went to her graduation. I accidentally forgot to tell her I was coming. I stood in the back where I was out of the way. There were a lot of people there. It was ridiculous for a class of 30-ish (it was a small, private school). I guess she saw me standing with my back up against the wall while she was getting her diploma from up on stage. She stopped dead in her tracks in the middle of the stage. Her eyes got really wide and she covered her mouth with her hand. She grabbed the diploma and bolted off the stage. A few seconds later, I was enveloped in a ginormous hug.

"You came. I thought you had forgotten. What are you doing here? I thought your graduation was today too. Why aren't you there?" she asked me all at once.

"Woah slow down. Of course I came. Why wouldn't I come? I could never forget. I'm here to see you graduate. Yeah, my graduation is today but I have time. There are like 20 billion kids ahead of me." I answered with a laugh. Alex was wearing her navy cap and gown while I was in my usual shorts and a t-shirt. " So how have things been here? Did they managed to survive without me?"

"Hardly. Everything here was a joke. It was stupid." she responded.

"Eh, well, at least you are out of this prison, right?" I barely manage to get out before she hugged me again.

"I missed you." she whispered.

"I missed you too. Hey, do you want to come over to my house after my graduation?" I asked.

"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world." she said with a smile.

Later that day, about 3 hours before Alex was supposed to be at my house, I got the call. The call that changed everything. It was from a number that seemed familiar but I didn't recognize, but I ran out of my graduation and picked up anyways. I wish I hadn't.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi. This is Alex's mom." the voice on the other side said.

"Oh hi Mrs. Myers. What can I do for you?" I asked.

"Come to the hospital as fast as you can. Something bad has happened. Please come. She keeps saying your name." Mrs. Myers pleaded. My name was coming up. I was in the middle of my graduation.

"Sure. Give me 15 minutes." I said to Mrs. Myers and hung up. When I walked back in, my mom's eyes met mine. I mouthed "Alex. Hospital. Leaving." She was angry but let me go. She knew how important Alex was to me. I jumped on my motorcycle- a Kawasaki Ninja- and sped off towards the hospital. I got there in 11 minutes flat after... um... avoiding the law. It wasn't too dangerous.
