AN: I think my plan with updating (that I'll be posting a new chapter when I finish writing the next so I'm always a step forward) is a good idea. Also thank you all so much for the positive feedback! I only just posted this fanfic a few days ago and it's already gotten over 100 views! Thank you so so much!
Chanyeol's P.O.V
It was a nice day in the café.
I was helping mom and my older sister out, unfortunately the café was so crowded with fans.
I mean hey, at least it meant that we'd earn a lot of money, as if I didn't earn enough.
Apparently being an idol was way harder than everyone said it would be. It was fine for me though.
The only thing I didn't like at all, was the sasaengs constantly stalking my family. I guess they couldn't be avoided.
Minseok and Jongdae managed to open their café as well, and it was on the same property as my mom's café, so they could work together.
Mom's side of the café was more like a restaurant, while Minseok and Jongdae's were more like an actual café.
Minseok and Jongdae even got engaged in their café.
Kris decided to get into the music industry anyway, but not the Korean music industry, the American industry.
He made it big too, which made me so happy because I knew the struggle of starting at square one.
Junmyeon took a business education, and was now one of the rising CEO's in Korea.
Sehun and Luhan went to China to explore Luhan's culture further, and they had been there for maybe 2 years now?
Kyungsoo, who was welcomed warmly into the friend circle, took his chances in the culinary industry, and well now he's got his own cooking books and restaurant all over Seoul, Busan, all the big cities in South Korea.
Jongin became a casual dance teacher for small kids, and had absolutely fallen for a mini version of him, Taeoh.
Tao and Yixing decided to move back to China, and build a family there. In central Qingdao, they had a nice apartment with a view to die for.
Seeing how all of my friends have made it in different ways, made me so happy. It was so cute to see all of my friends be happy, even if it meant not getting to be happy myself.
Of course, I love my family and my friends, and I loved the idol life too despite the crazy fans.
However I still felt like something, or someone, was missing.
Right, Toben! I missed my little poodle.
I saw mom and one of our newer chefs, Taeyong, working hard in the kitchen.
Had it not been for our waiter, Jaehyun, continuously flirting with Taeyong then the orders might've been made faster, but I wasn't one to judge.
I've been there.
I went back to accepting orders from either obsessed fans, tourists or confused elderlies.
I asked Kun who has just gotten off break to take over, and he agreed to do it.
I walked over to the café side of the restaurant, and behind the counter to grab a coffee that Minseok had saved for me.
I took a small sip of the hot beverage, and felt like singing. Minseok's coffee making skills were through the roof.
Jongdae's weren't bad, but he still needed some training.
Currently, Youngjae and Yugyeom were behind the cashier, while Mark and Jackson were making the orders. Jaebum, Jinyoung and Bambam, as we call him, were the waiters at the café.
If people didn't know who our employees were, they'd think we only hire males, which wasn't true.
Our female employees just took a day off today, and it wasn't their shifts anyway so it was fine.
What wasn't fine however, was Hansol and Yuta slacking off.
I thanked Jackson for giving me the coffee Minseok had brewed, and walked over to the two lovebirds.
"Hansol, Yuta, I'm sorry to interrupt your friend talk, but we're so busy as you can tell, so please get back to work." I said and patted their shoulders.
They apologised and quickly got back to work. I looked over at another table, and saw Doyoung interacting with a little girl.
I couldn't see any parents so of course I got worried. I walked over to them and tapped Doyoung's shoulder.
"Doyoung, does she have a guardian here?" I whispered in his ear. Doyoung nodded, and I gave him a thumbs up.
I went back to the kitchen, and already, an order was ready to be served. Someone had ordered spaghetti carbonara and one eggplant and spicy ground beef.
They had good taste.
I grabbed the plates, and walked over to the table. It was number "61", heh, what a coincidence. That was the table I always sat at. I walked over to the table.
"A carbonara, and eggplant and spicy ground beef." I said as I placed the food down.
"Ah yes tha—" the guy widened his eyes, and so did I.
"Papa, is that mommy?"
