Chapter 2: Parents Missing

~(y/n) POV~

When I began walking towards route 1 I saw there weird people wearing what looked to be uniforms with an eclipse on the front. I tried to ignore it but something about it gave me bad vibes.

"hey if your pokemon get hurt you can come to me if they need healing" a boy who was sitting on the side of the bridge said. I nodded and continued walking. when I was walking I ran into a few trainers and a few wild pokemons such as Bunnelby, Zigzagoon, and Fletchling.

Right when I was going to go to route 2 I heard someone call my name "(Y/N)!!!" when I turned around I saw Jake running full-speed towards me.

"I got here as fast as I could! Something terrible has happened! I need you to come with me back to town."

I looked at him and was about to ask what happened when he said that there wasn't time to explain and that we needed to go back immediately.

When we got back I noticed that there were multiple people standing outside of my house.

"(y/n)..." Professor Cypress began. "I'm so glad you're safe. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, (y/n)... but your parents have been abducted by a group called Team eclipse.."

he went on about telling me about how team eclipse wanted to create a new world and that they think people treat pokemon unfairly.

I was close to crying when he told me this. I looked to the side and saw Jake looking at me sadly. he walked up to me and hugged me.

when he let go I was determined to find my parents and get them back from the evil clutches of team Eclipse.

I once again walked past route one and to Cheshma town. when I got there a woman stopped me. when I told her about what happened to my parents she looked shocked. "Come to my house and we'll discuss it privately"

I didn't know why I followed her to her house but I did. "So your parents were taken by team eclipse?" I nodded.

"Gosh, that's horrible. did they give you anything before that?" I showed her the bronze brick and she asked if she could see it. "wow, looks pretty.. and valuable! heh, thanks!" she said and ran out."

When I ran out I saw Jake walking into town and when he saw me he walked up to me. "Hey, there you are (y/n). who was that girl who just ran out of that house?" when I told him that she took the necklace from me he was shocked.

"She stole the necklace you got from your parents right before they were abducted!? we need to get it back!! I saw her run into the woods over there." we both ran into the opening of the woods.

"I'll wait here so she doesn't get away, you go look for her in the forest" I nodded and started looking for her. I had to battle a few trainer and wild pokemon before I found her. she had run into a dead end.

I ran to her and she turned around when she heard me running towards her. "well darn looks like you caught up to me. It's my fault for running into this dead end. The bridge was under construction so my only option was to hide here." I glared at her and she smirked back.

"so you want this necklace back, huh? Well too bad, Team Eclipse doesn't return what they earn." when she said that I pieced everything together; She's a member of Team Eclipse. She must've noticed that I figured it out.

"That's right kid, I'm a member of team eclipse. The only way I would let you have your precious brick is if you beat me in a pokemon battle, but let's face it, your just a fresh-new trainer, there's no way you'll beat me."

We both got threw out our pokemons at the same time. she threw out a Poochyena and I threw out my Totodile.

After I defeated her first pokemon she threw out a Pancham. the battle went on a while but I was determined to win this battle, that necklace what the last thing I got from my parents before they were kidnapped! there's no way I was gonna lose to one of the people that are responsible of them being kidnapped!

When I finally won I returned Totodile to it's Pokeball and glared at the eclipse member. "Beaten by a kid..ugh... Fine, have your stupid brick back."

(Okay I'm starting to think that only using lines from the game is getting boring so I'm going to write out-of-script lines)

"(y/n)! Good! you got your necklace back! I was quite worried there for a while". he looked down in embarrassment when he said that last part. When I told him about her being a member of team eclipse he looked like he had just seen a ghost.

"Y-You're not hurt? r-right?!" He asked and grabbed my shoulders. when I assured him I was fine he let out a relieved sigh and looked me in the eyes. "I'm glad." for a little while we just stared at each other until Jake realize what he said.

"I-I mean I'm happy that you're fine a-and that you got your necklace back!" he backed away and scratched his head embarrassed.

"a-anyway *ahem* if we're going to want to beat Team eclipse you will need a strong team of Pokemon, the best way to train your pokemon is to beat gyms! there are 8 gyms in Roria and one's just in the next town, we should head over there. don't worry (y/n) we'll get your parents back."

he gave a reassuring smile and began walking out of the forest. I decided to walk around the forest to try and find some interesting pokemon. all of a sudden I felt something land on my head. I froze in place and looked up, only to see a brown Feathery-ball....it took a few moments to realize that it was a Hoot-Hoot.

I carefully grabbed it and placed it back onto the ground. it looked at me and then flew away. I decided that it was time to leave so I began walking out of the forest. When I got back to town I saw that the bridge was done so I could now get to the next route.

I began walking over the bridge slowly, taking time to look in the water if there were any pokemons swimming.

~Jake POV~

'What did I do?!?' i mentally screamed. after I had walked away from (y/n) I had practically ran out from the town in embarrassment. I covered my face with my hands to try and calm down my blushing face. 'What is this feeling I keep having everytime I'm around her...' i said while clutching my shirt.

I gulped and continued walking. "what are you doing to me (y/n)..."
