Nathan left thirty minutes earlier because he had to be somewhere, which was fine with me because that left more slices of pizza for me. I heard my phone buzz next to me and I grabbed it, seeing a text.
Aye.
I scrunched my eyebrows together, feeling confused. I texted back to the unknown number.
Who is this?
A couple seconds later, the unknown texted back.
Alex. Duh.
S: Well sorry for not having your number saved in my phone :p. How did you even get my number?
A:Your boyfriend gave it to me. Well, not really cause I snuck in his phone and got it myself but still. Same thing.
S:-.- He's not my boyfriend Alex.
A:And I don't care.
S:ANYWAYS, what did you want?
A:You. JK! The crew and I were gonna go hang out at this place and we were wondering if you wanted to come along?
S:I don't know.. I'm pretty tired. :p
A:I'll bring cookies.
S:Pick me up in 20.
I quickly changed into a plain blue t-shirt and skinny jeans and then put on my green military jacket since it's pretty chilly outside. I quickly brushed my hair and applied some mascara and then put on my black high top converse while running to the door. I tripped since I'm clumsy like that. I grabbed my phone and the apartment keys and walked outside, waiting for Alex.
I saw a silver mustang pull up with Alex driving. I nodded my head in approval.
"Nice ride." I told him, examining the car.
"Thank you, thank you. This is my baby." He said.
I opened the door and got in the passanger seat. Alex grabbed a plastic bag and put it in my lap. I looked at him confusingly and then peeked in and saw my cookies he promised.
"I never break a promise." He said. "Ready?"
~
We pulled up into an abandoned amusent park and saw the crew standing in front of the closed gates. Alex parked the car and I grabbed my box of cookies and walked with him to the gates. I saw Logan and Cara having some deep conversation, which caused me to smirk since she told me she had a huge crush on him, and Alex doing that hand/hug thing with Derek, which apparently every guy does and I don't know why.
I was awkwardly standing alone, eating my cookies until I saw Jace walk up to me.
"Hey." he smiled.
"Hi. Cookie?" I offered.
He nodded, while I handed him an oatmeal raisin cookie, smirking. A couple seconds later, Jace spatted out the cookie. "Did you just trick me into thinking that was a chocolate chip cookie?" He whined.
"Yup." I said popping out the 'p'. "I already ate all the chocolate chip ones and I don't like oatmeal raisins so thats why I gave it to you." I said, smiling.
"You suck." He said jokingly.
We all started climbing over the fence and then walked around the abandoned amusement park. Cara, Logan, and Derek all went to explore some empty roller coaster ride while Alex, Jace, and I went to go climb up some old empty waterslide.
Like I said earlier, I was a clumsy person so I obviously kept slipping down the slide. Haha, slip n' slide.
Not funny?
Okay.
Don't even start with TFIOS connections.
I felt someone's hands around my waist and looked behind to see Alex. "I think you're gonna need some help." He chuckled.
I laughed. "Yeah, that would be really helpful." I smiled, thanking him.
With Alex pushing me from behind, I started climbing higher up the slide and then finally reached the top. I grabbed his hand to help pull him up on the flat platform that we were sitting on with Jace.
"Thanks." I said, nudging him in his ribcage.
"No problem, cookie monster." He said.
I laughed, but heard Jace grunt next to me. I looked at him, confused but didn't say anything.
Alex and I started talking in admiration about the city and the scenery since it was getting dark outside and the night lights were finally starting to glow up. Jace sat in silence admiring the scenery with us too, I believe. I don't know why he's being quiet but I tried not to let that bother me. I sighed, seeing my breath forming into a fog from the cold weather. After twenty minutes, I, like Jace, became quiet and just listened to Alex ranting about how much he hates starbucks. I laughed quietly, and felt Jace's hands on top of mine. I looked at him and smiled, intertwining out fingers together and looked back into the city lights, still listening to Alex's rant of course.
~
"THAT'S SO BIG!" Cara said looking it.
I walked up next to her and looked at what she was looking at. "I WANNA RIDE IT!" I shouted.
Cara and I ran to the huge carousel and got on the rainbow colored unicorns while the guys were looking at us weirdly. Derek somehow got the carousel to get back on, and we all just let loose and had our carefree spirits shine, riding rainbow unicorns and bears and zebras.
Cara and I were laughing our asses off because Alex and Logan were so drunk, they thought the zebra was some chick and they were attempting to hit on her.
I finally quieted down, unlike Cara who kept laughing her ass off, and just thinked about the past week. I just stayed here for a week, and I've already had some of the best memories of my life, just with these idiots. And Nathan too, of course. I smiled at the floor, and looked behind me to see Jace staring back at me.
We stared at each other for a couple of seconds, until Jace broke into a smile, causing me to mirror him.
~
Yeah so I had no idea where I was going with in this chapter. I just felt like I should've updated since I haven't in like a week. So yeah, sorry for the bad chapter.
I went to the fall out boy/new politics concert on sunday which was freaking awesome.
And I ate pizza today which was awesome too.
And my friends bought me a 24 count chocolate chip cookies to bribe me to let them use my neighborhood gym. I obviously said yes.
Okay, thats all.
