The Hybrid

Chapter 10

"Come on Kat!" Percy sighed pulling me of my bed.

"Why?" I asked setting my book down beside me on the bed.

"Because all you've done for the past week is mope around reading books and listening to music."

"First off, 5 Seconds of Summer, All Time Low and Fall out Boy are some of the best bands to ever exist so don't you dare diss them." I told him holding my finger up pointing it at him. "And second, what's wrong with reading books?"

"You're addicted to them!" Percy said.

"Hey, it could have been drug and alcohol, but instead it's books and music. Be thankful." I told him.

"She's got you there Percy." Annabeth said walking into the cabin.

"I know she does." He sighed.

"Can I finish my book now?" I asked picking up my book and pointing to it.

"No. Put the book down." Percy said.

"Why?" I whined.

"Because, me, you, Annabeth, Leo, Jason, Nico, Hazel, and Piper are going out and we are going to have fun." He said proudly.

"But I don't want to, I just wanna read." I said.

"What 16 year old doesn't want to go out and party and have fun?" Percy asked.

"Me!" I said raising my hand.

"That's it." Percy said walking over to me and throwing me over my shoulder.

"Percy!" I screamed. "Put me down!"

"Nope." He laughed and started walking out of the cabin. I gave up on trying to get down because I knew that there was no use. There was no way Percy would ever let me out of this.

"Come on guys!" Percy yelled as we passed by everyone.

"What happened to 'I'm gonna asked her nicely and if she says no I'll give up'?" Nico asked.

"I changed my mind." Percy said walking towards the stables.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere."

"Where is this somewhere you speak of."

"You'll find out when we get there." Percy said stopping in front of BlackJack. At least I think. I can't see anything but Percy's back.

"Can you put me down now?" I asked.

"Are you gonna run?" Percy asked.

"No." I said.

"I don't believe you."

"Fine! I swear on all of 5sos, All Time Low and Green Day that I will not run." I sighed.

"Now I believe you." He said putting me down. I stumbled after trying to take a step and  Percy had to catch me. "You okay?"

"All the blood just rushed from my brain." I told him putting a hand on my head. He let go of me and got onto BlackJack. I followed him onto the Pegasus and wrapped my arms tightly around his torso.

"Still not a fan of flying?" He asked.

"Not even a little bit." I told him with a nervous chuckle.

"Wait let me get this straight, you are the daughter of Poseidon who is also a true alpha, but you are afraid of heights?" Jason laughed.

"It's not funny Grace." I warned him. He knows he's in trouble when I call him by his last name.

"Sorry." He mumbled and we took off without any warning.

"Percy!" I yelled holding onto him tighter. He started laughing. "It's not funny!" I whined.

"It kinda is." He laughed.

After about 15 minutes of me asking where we were going and how long till we would get there, we stopped in the middle of a forest to tie up the Pegasi.

"We walk from here." Percy said. We walked for about ten minutes before Percy stopped in front of a building lit up by neon lights. "We're here!" Percy said like a little child that was just given a bunch of candy.

"What exactly is here?" I asked.

"You'll see." Piper said going into the building. I walked inside and saw people rollerskating. Oh dear God no.

"Percy no." I told him.

"Percy yes." He said back.

"I can't do that." I told him.

"I'll teach you." He smiled.

"No I'm gonna fall onto my face." I told him.

"No you won't." He told me and went to go grab the rollerblades. Minutes later he came back with two pairs of rollerblades. He tossed me one of the pairs. "Put them on."

"When I fall, I blame you." I warned him.

"Okay." He said and started putting on the rollerblades. I quickly started to tie the skates when I saw the rest of the gang go past me.

"You coming?" Hazel asked.

"Eventually." I told her still tying the blades onto my feet. I eventually got to the part where everyone was going around in circles and I couldn't find everybody. I was actually getting the hang of it until I bumped into someone. I closed my eyes waiting for the impact but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw a guy with brown hair and the most beautiful hazel eyes I had ever seen. He quickly set me back on my feet and looked me in the eye.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, thank you and sorry I ran into you." I told him slyly.

"It's no problem. Is it your first time?" He asked.

"Yeah, my brother dragged me here now he's nowhere to be found." I told blue eyes looking around the building.

"I can help you find him if you want?" He offered.

"It's Okay He shouldn't be too hard to find." I told him.

"Okay. I hope I see you again soon."

"Katherine." I told him.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." I blushed at what he said. "I'm Alex."

"Again thanks for catching me Alex. I'll see you around." I told him going to find Percy. I just took of my skates when Percy popped up beside me.

"Who was he?"

"Jesus Percy. You scared me!" I told him holding a hand on my chest and the other on my forehead.

"Who was he?" He asked again.

"His name is Alex." I told him.

"I don't like him." Percy said narrowing his eyes at Alex.

"Well I probably will never see him again after today." I told Percy.

"Well come on. We have more things to do." Percy told me pulling me towards the door. I turned back at saw Alex waving at me. I waved back and followed Percy out the door.

Also sorry for not updating in a while. Hopefully this chapter makes up for it? Probably not.
