"Happy birthday Kat." Percy said hugging me. Soon everyone else joined in the hug.
"Yes happy birthday Katherine."
We quickly broke the hug.
"You guys heard that?" I asked.
"Yeah." Was everyone's answer.
"I told you I would take everyone that is important to you and I have."
"They're all safe in this room." I responded.
"Not everyone."
I thought for a moments. Then it hit me.
"Mom."

"What have you done to my mom!?" I yelled out.
"You'll find out soon enough."
"What do you want from me!?" I yelled.
"I want you to feel my pain. You took Mary from me, now I will take everyone from you, and once I have done that, I will kill you slowly and painfully. Goodbye Katherine." The voice laughed.
I fell to the floor crying.
"Mom." I cried.
"Kat." Percy said. I looked up and saw that he had tears in his eyes. He bent down engulfing me into a hug.
"She's gone Percy. It's all my fault." I cried into his shoulder.
"It's not your fault Kat." Annabeth said.
"It is though. If I never would have left none of this would have happened. Mary never would have died and you guys wouldn't be in danger."
"Kat look at me." Percy said pulling away from the hug. I continued to look at the floor. "Katherine look at me." I looked up at Percy. "Kat, none of this is your fault. I'm glad you left that place and found us. I'm glad you sat the steps to the apartment crying, because you being my sister is the best thing that ever happened to me." He said with tears in eyes. I saw that he was trying so hard not to break, but I know the second I'm out he will.
"We'll get her back, I promise." He said hugging me once again.
I don't know how long we stayed like that but I felt my eyelids start to get heavy and I felt Percy pick me up and put me on the bed.
"We will get here back." He said kissing my head as I let the darkness take over.
~PERCY'S POV~
As soon as I put Kat down on her bed I turned to Annabeth, and broke down crying. She engulfed my into a hug like I did to Kat only moments ago.
"It's gonna be okay Percy." She said rubbing my back. After a few seconds, I let go of Annabeth and looked at the others.
"We need a new plan." I said to the others. They all nodded.
"What if we-" Piper started but a quickly cut her off.
"Sorry to cut you off, but we can't let Kat get involved." I said.
"Okay well what if one of us stayed behind to distract Kat, while the rest of us get your mom back. We fight against whoever this guy is and end him. He's obviously caused Kat a lot of pain and he needs to be stopped." Piper said.
"That works." I said. "But who's going to stay behind?"
"I will." Annabeth said. I turned to look at her.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes I'm sure. But before you guys attack you need more training and you need information on this guy whoever he is." She told us.
"Okay well we'll go train and when Kat wakes up please come find us so we can get information on this guy." I said hugging her.
"Okay."
"Thank you." I said giving her a quick kiss on her lips and walking out of the cabin.
~ANNABETH'S POV~
A few minutes after Percy left Kat started to thrash in her sleep.
"Mom." She said.
"Kat wake up." I said starting to shake her awake. After a few seconds she finally woke up. I saw her eyes fill with tears.
"Did he break after I fell asleep?" She asked. I slowly nodded. I saw a tear roll down her cheek.
"Kat go to sleep, you've had a long day." I told her.
"I can't." She said.
"Do you want me to sing you a song?" I asked her and she nodded. She move so her head was on my lap and I started to sing as I played with her hair.

As Percy walked into the cabin, I moved Kat's head off my lap and walked over to him.
"You can't be done training already, you've been gone like four minutes."
"I know I just wanted to check up on you guys." He said. I gave him a look. "Fine, I'm just worried about her. She's so little and she's already been through so much."
"I know." I said. "And you do know if she finds out about this she's going to want to help."
"I know." He sighed. "She's going to find out about this sooner or later."
"You have to tell her. She will be able to help. I know you are worried about her, but she is the only chance we have at beating this guy." I told him.
"Why do you always have to be right?"
