Caleb’s POV
I woke up and glanced at my phone, it was 5:02AM. God I was tired. I sat up and put my bare feet on the cool tile floor. The room was silent except for the sounds of the swirling fan and Ivy’s gentle snoring, I looked back to her seeing her perfect breasts and smiled. Last night was amazing, she was always down for anything sexually. That was one of the many amazing things I loved about her. I was indeed a lucky guy. I slipped on my flip flops and started to walk towards the bathroom. We had left the lights on there to try and draw in the mosquitoes. Just then I saw some scurrying on the floor. I looked down and there was 5 or 6 huge spiders spread around the room. I screamed in my head “Holy Fuck!” I hate spiders, especially big hairy ones like these were. I didn’t want to wake Ivy, because if she saw this all hell would break loose. So I started stomping as many as I could, I killed about 4 and the rest scurried into a hole in door frame. Looking around I didn’t see anymore. I cleaned up and stuffed some towels in any door frame hole I could find. Tomorrow we were going to get the fuck out of here. “What else could happen?” I wondered to myself. I went to the bathroom then settled back into bed next to Ivy, checking the floor every once in a while for any critters roaming the floor. Finally I dosed off into dreamland again.
We both woke at about 11am, Ivy cuddled up close to my side. The warm sun shined brightly through the windows.
“Good morning! How did you sleep?”
“Like a log. How about you baby?” She said smiling.
“I did sleep well until I woke up to go the bathroom and there were huge spiders on the floor.”
“WHAT? Did you say spiders? How many?” she said jumping up.
“Yup, about six or so, they were infested in that hole in the door frame.” They were big too, I killed a few and rest went back in their hole. So I stuffed some towels in there to keep them tucked in.”
“Oh my god I hate spiders!”
“I know who doesn’t! I want to get out of here so I think we should see if the sailboat is ready for us. Let’s grab some breakfast, and I will call the Marina. If the boat is ready, then we can call George to pick us up, check out and head over to the marina in Kos town. Sound ok?”
“Sure, I am starving.”
We got dressed and went out the breakfast area. We ordered a selection of items including boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt with honey, olive bread and fresh squeezed orange juice. While waiting for the food to arrive I called the marina, they could have our boat ready a day early but not until later on in the day. So I also called George and he agreed to pick us up at the new hotel in one hour or so. The food arrived and it was all delicious, we finished every bite.
“Ivy can you go back to the room and start packing? I will go check us out.”
“Yes of course, it shouldn’t take me long, we never unpacked. If I see a spider though, there are going to be issues.” She said giggling. I just laughed and gave her a kiss then walked over the main office.
Once inside the office, I handed in the keys and told the manager we were cutting our stay short. I also told him about the spider infestation, he apologized profusely and offered another room. I declined because I wanted to get settled into the sailboat and set sail tomorrow morning. Making my way back to the room, Ivy had all the suitcases packed up again so we walked out towards the main road to wait for George to pick us up. As we walked out to the road, we looked over to the field in front of the hotel. The one I almost crossed last night.
