It was a rainy night. Alice couldn't sleep so she went downstairs and drank a glass of wine. She sat on the couch looking through some old photo albums. One album got her especially emotional. It was the one of her and FP. He always has been and always will be the one man she truly loved. She remembered all the good times they had together.

After a while she couldn't help but drive over to FP's trailer and tell him the truth. That she needed him and always loved him. That Hal never was the one.

Once she arrived she was thinking about turning around but she also knew she had to do it. So she walked up the stairs and knocked on his trailer door just like she used to when they were in high school and she had arguments with her parents or her parents were arguing.

It didn't take long for FP to get the door. He opened it and wondered why Alice was there in the middle of the night.

"Alice, it's 2:50 AM. What the hell are you doing here?" He said sleepily.

"I'm sorry to bother you but we need to talk. Can I come in?"

"Sure." He stepped aside.

She sat down on his couch and he joined her.

"Do you want to drink something?" He asked her.

"No, thank you."

"Okay, then.. uhm.. What did you want to talk about?" He asked a little concerned.

"I-..." She began.

"You..?"

"I love you, FP. I never stopped." She finally told him. She felt so relieved.

He didn't know what to say. But he knew he felt the same.

"Don't you wanna say something?" Alice said her voice breaking.

"I love you, too, Alice. You always were the one." He responded.

She smiled at what he said. There was an awkward silence between them.

"Now, kiss me already."

"Just as you like." He leaned in an kissed her. This one kiss grew passionate. Like they were the only ones left. He picked her up so she sat in his lap.

She broke the kiss and giggled. "This reminds me of the first time we've told each other."

"I remember it as it was yesterday." He said smiling.

•••FLASHBACK•••

Alice's parents were arguing all night. She couldn't take it anymore so she went to the only place, the only person she could call home. FP Jones. She snuck out of her house and went straight to her motorcycle. Once she arrived at his trailer she knocked at his door nervous to what he would say.

"Alice why are you still up? It's the middle of the night."

"My parents are arguing all night long and I just couldn't take it. Can I come in?" She said tears forming in her eyes.

"Sure." FP said instantly. "How are you feeling?"

"To be honest I feel like a mess. My parents won't get along and I can't do anything about it." She said sobbing.

FP knew what to do and calmed her down. He had a very special way to do so.

"I'm so sorry. I wish I could help somehow."

"You can help me by being near me."

"Why would that help?" He asked shyly.

"Because I-..." She began.

"You..?"

"I'm in love with you." She said avoiding eye contact.

"Look at me." He looked deep into her ocean blue eyes that were full of tears. "I love you, too."

"Kiss me."

"Just as you like." Their faces got closer and closer until they locked lips.

She had this feeling in her stomach. She never felt this before. It was a beautiful feeling.

He felt the same. He knew she was the one he was meant to be with.

"So, it's official?"

"What?" She asked smiling.

"Us being together?"

"It sure is." She kissed him again.

•••PRESENT DAY•••

"From that day on I knew you were the one." FP said staring into her beautiful eyes. He got lost in them over and over again.

"It's always been you." She said smiling.

"I'm so glad we've found our ways back to each other. I'll never let you go again. Trust me."

"I won't let anything take me away from you again. I love you so much."

"I love you too."

She leaned in and kissed him. She once again had the same feeling in her stomach she had 20 some years ago. And he felt it too.
