Rose POV

I woke up the morning after the party feeling warm, the sun shining threw my blinds, engulfed in blankets and something heavy. I cracked open my eyes, blinking a couple of times before they adjusted. With a small smile I looked down to see that the heavy object that was keeping me so warm was a pair of strong arms wrapped around me. Confused, I followed them up to see Ashton underneath me, sound asleep.

My eyes widened in surprise as I realized how we were laying, my face turning a bright shade of red which I couldn't tell if it was from anger or embarrassment. My head had been on his chest and I was mostly on top of him, his arms wrapped around my smaller body in a protective way. All of the memories from the party came back, from getting there, to laughing with Ashton about the drinks, to Olivia, to the kitchen, to outside. I remembered how he had came into my room asking to talk but fell asleep, but I wasn't sure how we ended up like this.

I tried to pull away, but it caused Ashton to wake up, his eyes opening to meet mine. He skipped the step of panic that I was still experiencing and a wide, cocky grin spread across his lips. "Good morning Rosalie." He spoke quietly, is a low and raspy voice. He said my full name so casually for once, without the emphasis, and I was so overwhelmed by the position we were in that I barely noticed. I tried to finally pull out of his arms but he pulled me closer, causing my face to turn a deeper shade of red.

"I- What are you doing?!" I stammered, placing my hands on his chest and pushing myself out of his arms, I scooted away from him, causing him to chuckle and lean up onto his elbow to look at me. I was now sitting up, my arms across my chest in defense.

He rubbed his eyes, shaking his head, "I'm just trying to wake up."

"That's not what I meant and you know it." I snapped, giving him a frown, "Why were we like that?"

"How am I supposed to answer that? You're the one that crawled next to me last night." He smirked, and I wasn't able to find words. There was no way that I had initiated it, even in my sleep. I didn't trust Ashton in the slightest. After knowing him so long I knew better, he was probably lying.

"Yeah right," I huffed, rolling my eyes. I quickly got out of the bed, feeling the need to be as far away from him as possible. "You need to go, now Ashton." I nodded towards the door.

He started to sit up but clutched his head in pain. "Do you have any water and aspirin or something?" He squeezed his eyes shut, letting out a groan of pain.

My eyes roamed his pained features before saying, "Downstairs- but my parents are up so I guess you'll have to wait until you get home." I paused, still growing before asking a question that he didn't answer the night before, "How much did you drink?"

He rolled his eyes, thinking before answering. "I don't know. That drink with you, and then some shots while I waited- who knows." He huffed, almost as if he was just now remembering what had happened.

We sat in silence for a couple minutes before he finally sat up, and I was surprised when he actually got out of the bed. He did so slowly, and almost tripped in the process, but listened to what I said earlier. "Thank you." I said, crossing my arms over my chest once again. He didn't go towards the door though, he stopped in front of me, his height making him tower above.

"Why do you want me to leave Rose? We just woke up." He stepped closer, tucking a piece of hair that had fallen out of my ponytail behind my ear. I gulped and recoiled, but my back hit the wall behind me. I didn't understand how he could go from in pain and grumpy, to this so suddenly.

"My parents are downstairs, they could be up here any minute- or hear you. If they find you here they will kill me." I gently pushed his hand away, but he just placed it on the wall next to my head.
