Spanish was not easy. The class already knew all their greetings, colors, shapes, and sports. I need to get caught up.
When class ends I get up and meet Liam in the hallway. He motions for me to follow him and I do. We get to the gym and Liam takes me to the coach.
"This is Y/N. She's new." He tells the coach.
I give the coach a small, closed-mouth smile. Then a lady walks into the gym.
     "Is this Y/N?" She asks.
     "Yep." I reply.
"You can come with me." She says.
I nod and make eye contact with Liam. He walks out of the gym and to the boys' locker room. The lady takes me to the girls' locker room.
"I'm Ms.Cooper, by the way." She tells me as she digs through a basket of P.E. uniforms.
"What size are you?" She asks.
     "Uh, Y/C/S." I reply.
Ms.Cooper takes out a shirt and shorts and hands them to me.
"Oh yeah, and your locker," She says, walking over to an empty locker. "Is right here. The combination is 35-7-13."
"Thank you." I say.
Ms.Cooper goes over to her office and sits down. I put my binder in my locker. I don't quite feel comfortable changing in front of the other girls yet so I go into a bathroom stall and change. I come out and put my clothes in my locker and lock it.
I start to walk to the gym when I hear someone say, "Y/N!"
I whip my head around to see who called my name. It's Olivia.
"Hey, Liv!" I say.
She speed walks to catch up with me.
"How's your day been?" She asks.
"Pretty good." I reply.
We walk into the gym and I see everyone just walking around the gym and talking. Olivia starts walking around, just like everyone else.
"We usually walk around the gym for a bit before class starts." She says.
I nod. Olivia and I are walking and talking about our day when someone comes up to the other side of me. It's Cathy.
"Hey, Y/N!" She says.
"Hey, Cathy." I reply.
"Watch out for Liam." She says, winking.
Then she walks fast and catches up with her friends. I shrug it off and continue to walk with Olivia. Our conversation comes to a dull and the coach, Coach Meish, tells us all to line up for warm ups. I follow Olivia to an empty spot in the line.
"Lunges down and back!" Coach Meish yells. "Girls, go!"
All the girls start doing lunges so I do the same. We get to the other side of the gym and turn around. The boys do the same when Coach tells them to. I find Liam, and watch him. He makes everything look so easy.
We continue with warm ups and are done pretty fast. Then, Coach announces that we will be running next. Non-stop, for seven minutes. Everyone groans.
Coach grabs his phone out of his pocket, sets a timer, and yells, "Go!"
Everyone starts running. Most people are are running at an even pace, but a few boys are running at full speed. Dumb I think. They'll get tired really fast. I've been running with Olivia for a few minutes when someone comes up to me. It's Liam.
"Hey." He says, barely getting it out because of his hard breathing.
    "Hey." I reply, still running.
Liam slows down to keep in pace with Olivia and I.
"Your day been good?" Liam asks.
I nod, too out of breath to speak. The three of us run side-by-side for the rest of the seven minutes.
Coach's timer rings and he yells, "Stop!"
Everyone stops and starts walking out of the gym to the water fountains. I follow Olivia and Liam and they walk past the water fountains. I still follow them anyways. Then I realize they were going to a different water fountain, one with no line. We get there and drink some water, then walk back to the gym.
For the rest of the class we do push-ups and sit-ups, and then we play a little bit of basketball. Then we walk and talk like at the beginning of class. Olivia went with some other friends, and Liam stayed with me. I'm thankful for that.
"What's your favorite class so far?" Liam asks me.
"Uh I don't know. I like Math I guess. It's chill." I reply.
We talk a bit more and Cathy comes up to me again.
"Hey, Lee." She says.
I raise my eyebrows at that. Liam sighs.
"Can I help you?" He asks her.
"Just wanted to talk to you." Cathy replies.
"Well, I was talking to Y/N." Liam tells her.
Cathy looks to me, then back at Liam. She crosses her arms over her chest and makes a small frustrated noise, then walks away.
"Um, when does class end?" I ask Liam, trying to break the awkwardness.
"Uh, in like a minute." Liam says, glancing up at the clock in the gym.
We walk in silence for a minute, and then go to change.

How's it going? Sorry I didn't update last week. I just started school and life has been hectic. I also haven't had much motivation to write. The next chapter is probably going to be in Liam's point of view. Hope you liked this chapter! Leave suggestions or requests! Tell me if there are any typos! Have a great day! -💛⚡️
