LEIGH'S P.O.V

Today is not a normal day. When I woke up, everything started to spin, and showed no sign of stopping. I just stood at the side of my bed for a few minutes waiting for my vision to come back in to focus. When that failed, I decided to slowly walk to my bathroom and take a shower. After slipping and almost breaking my skull in the shower more times than I would've liked, I hobbled back in to my room and got ready.

Not being too fancy because I just don't feel very well. Sitting at my vanity I put on a little bit of foundation, powder, blush, eyeliner, and mascara. I couldn't care less about my hair, so after a few minutes of debaing on a messy bun or a side braid; a side braid won. On the soul fact that it would make me more presentable. More hobbling was involved to get to my closet to get out of my robe and in to some clothes. Leggings, an oversized gray sweater, and some Uggs sounded good. I wanted to be comfy, but still look nice.

I held on to the railing on the stairs for dear life. I didn't want to fall and break any bones. It was not on my agenda for today.

Lazily sitting down at the kitchen table, I put my head down, enjoying the cooling sensation the wood table had on my aching skull.

"What's the matter Leigh?" Mom asked.

"I thought you left for work." I replied. My voice being muffled by the table.

"Late start today. You don't look very good. What's wrong?"

"I feel very dizzy, and I can't stand straight, and my head is pounding." I mumbled. Still not removing my head from the table.

"Do you want some aspirin?"

"I guess. If you think it's gonna help."

Within a minute, a glass of water and two aspirin were placed in front of me.

"It might. You're not going to school today. I want you to go lie down on the couch and relax. I'm gonna call you out."

"Thanks mom." I said taking the pills. The water was cold. Without even thinking I placed the condensating glass of water on my forehead. This is better than the table. I was ripped away from my paradise from my mom.

"Leigh. Stop that. I'll get you an ice pack instead. Now, go lie down like I told you."

Removing myself from the table was more work than I thought. The journey from the kitchen to the livng room felt like it took a lot longer than it normally does. Plopping down on the couch I grabbed the remote in the process, turning on the TV.

"Alright Leigh. Looks like it's you and me today." Mom said.

I turned away from the TV and gave her a questioning look.

"What do you mean? You're not going to work today?"

"That's exactly what I mean. I just got off the phone with Mr. Smalls. He said it was fine. I just have to go in early tomorrow."

"Thanks mom." I think today's going to be a nice day. Just mom and I hanging out. We never really get to do this since she's usually working all the time.

The majority of my day involved me watching old Disney movies. I was finally starting to fall asleep when there was a knock at the door.

"MOM! Someone's at the door." I called into the house.

"It's open!" I hear her call. The mystery person at the door made their way into the house, and stopped in the living room when they saw me. Can you guess who this person is? If you guessed Ryder, then you're correct. Looking at the time on the cable box, it read 5:15, which means Ryder just got out of football practice.
