"I'm home!" My dad yelled entering the house. I was currently playing with Jackson my son. He's the love of my life. He means the world to me. He's so cute when he smiles. He has dimples that are barley noticable unless he smiles wide enough.
"No one cares." I say jokingly. I hear him chuckle as he walks in. Jackson is playing with his toy fire truck pretending the small town was on fire and he's saving them. It puts a smile on my face. He's only two but he's so smart.
"Hey kiddo." He rustles Jackson's hair as he makes weird water noises for the hose. We laugh at this then look at each other. Dad had this weird look in his eyes but I didn't know what it was. "Can I talk to you? Alone?" He asks. Worry and concern filling his eyes.
"Uh yeah sure" I stand up and tell Jackson to stay here. "What do you need?"
"We have to move." He says quietly.
"What?"
"We have to m-"
"I know what you said. Why?" I say cutting him off.
"It's for my job. I got an offer for a new job at this big brand company and it pays quite a bit of money. But I understand if you don't want to move. Just, think about it. Please" He starts to walk away but I grab his arm.
"Where is it?" I ask.
"Los Angeles"
"Dad if it means that much we can go. Does Mom and Sophie say it's okay?"
"Uhm yeah they know. They said it's up to you."
"Well I'll go. I mean I can stay in touch with Amy and with the extra money maybe we can get a nanny or something for Jackson. Then mom can start working again and not staying at home." I state. Dad hugged me tightly and kissed the top of my head.
"Thank you honey." He whispered in my ear.
"When do we leave" I ask once we pull away.
"We can leave tonight or tomorrow."
"Wait that's so soon. What are we going to do with the house?"
"Uncle Jerin will take it."
"Oh well what about our stuff?"
"I can order a moving truck and they can deliver the things at the new house. For now go pack some clothes in the biggest suitcase you own. Your mom and sister are already packed. I'll go make sure the private jet is ready to go." He wiggles his brows and I shake my head with a smile.
"Idiot." I say loud and clear just so I can make sure he hear me.
"Pfftt you love me and you know it."
"Debatable." I say with a grin.
"Go pack your things dummy." He says while ruffling my hair. I smile one last time and turn around.
"Jackson come here please." I yell.
"Yes Mommy?" He asks innocently.
"We're going to move to a new home and so we need to get some clothes. Can you help Mommy?"
"Yes Mommy." He answers obediently. He's such an amazing son.
"Ok let's go." I grab his little hand and walk toward my room. I grab out two large suitcases and start packing all of my clothes.
I made sure to pack as many sweatshirts, leggings, and sweatpants as I could fit. I had to grab my back pack and put some undergarment in there. Since school only started a month ago, making it October, we don't have too much homework so I have plenty of room in my backpack.
